Appeal to Texas Self Storage Association about Wallisville GoStoreIt

Subject: Request for Assistance as a tenant

I am a tenant at:

Go Store It Self Storage

16660 Wallisville Road

Houston, TX 77049

I spoke to Office manager 281.862.9366 about a theft of my property stored at the facility

wanted to speak the owner of the establishment but was blocked by office manager and my treatment was very poor. I was not told about other thefts in the vicinity of my property. I was denied access to the security videos.

Very bad business practices.

Can you help me locate the owners to express my grievances.

I am sorry you were a victim of theft, I am sure that is a very difficult and stressful situation.

However, anything stored at a self-storage facility is not insured by the lessor. The tenant is responsible for providing their own insurance, and is bound by contract to self-insure if they do not have an outside policy. As far as surveillance cameras go; storage facilities will typically share this information with law enforcement (though not required) but, usually will not share these with tenants.

If you still would like to pursue a complaint with the owners, I can forward an e-mail to them about the grievance. You might want to be more specific in your e-mail so that the owners understand all of the details.

Kind Regards,

I was robbed at the facility and personal property removed, likely a part at a time, from my boat stored at the facility. Houston Harris Country Sherriff’s office report filed HCSO HC13-6****.

The extremely poor, rude and unprofessional treatment when I visited the office on 5/20/2013 by Rachael Houser. Who refused to allow me access to the security videos that only went back for 30 days. Further, the establishment did not contact tenants of theft at the facility in Nov 2012. Other tenants complained of the same unprofessional service.

Key Code in out and front test videos imply a false sense of security to the Tenants. Outrages survice

Monetary Loss: $15000.

Location: Houston, Texas
