Do not buy products, especially of value, on Geekbuying. I bought a Xiaomi action camera (in detail: "Xiaoyi YI 4K Action Camera 2 + Original Xiaoyi Monopod + Original Xiaoyi Bluetooth Remote Controller") for the modest sum of $300.

The product arrived "open", with pen marks on the box and the internal battery with a piece of insulating tape that made it almost impossible to pull it out of the camera. I asked for an explanation and they told me that it is a "standard" procedure.....

Leaving aside this aspect, after 7 months the camera started not to go because of a factory defect that made it necessary to replace the product (I asked the official YiTechnology producers). I had to send the product by paying the shipping costs (€ 28). Once arrived in China, although the product should only be collected and sent a new one, Geekbuying staff asked me for $55 for the so-called "restocking fee". I asked for explanations and none of them wanted to answer me. Then they offered to repair the product (when the mother company had told me that it had to be replaced) and, after asking for additional information, I refused, asking for the new product. The product has been sent 09/26/2017..we are at 12/22/2017 and of my product I only know that THEY have decided to repair it .. I have no words .. do not shop on Geekbuying!


Update of 03/16/2018

I still have no news of my product. I only know that they (and I stress the word "they") had decided to fix it. I asked for more information about the timing and no one gave me any kind of answer. HOWEVER, THEY CONTINUE TO OFFER ME THAT, IF I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT, I CAN PAY OTHERS $40 TO RECEIVE A NEW CAMERA (probably with the same defect of the factory of course, so in a year I should repeat all this story)!

After witnessing my experience on the Facebook page (of course, the post was canceled), they immediately wrote me to propose a new fantastic solution. They offer me a coupon of € 50 + 4% discount on the next purchase. I paid $300 of product and they offer me only a stupid coupon?! We're always going worse!

That is, they want to send me back the broken product..

Guarantees to protect buyers what are they for?!
