Our Rhine River Cruise was spoiled by high water and became a tour by Bus. It was disappointing and our vacation was spoiled.
Adding insult to injury was the cavalier attitude of Gate1 who refuse to engage in a dialogue and refer all complaints to email. My correspondence was met by a form letter offering $100 rebate on a future Gate1 tour. This is a fraction of the amount Gate1's literature recommends as a tip for the staff.
A little sympathetic understanding and generosity from Gate1 would have gone a long way towards healing our hurt.
We have spent a good deal of money on several trips with Gate1 You would think they might want to keep a regular customer.
Needless to say our Gate1 relationship is over.
