Fleetwood Rv - 2015 Fleetwood Bounder 35K leaning excessively on passenger side
Bought this Bounder 35K in Nov. 2015 and when driving it home I could feel and see that it was leaning downward on the passenger side in the front.
I took some measurements and determined a 4 inch difference from the drivers side versus the passenger side, which is the low side. (Note: the motorhome was empty other than gas in the tank and about 1/4 full of fresh water). I believe the problem is in the springs or in the way Fleetwood installs to many heavy things on the this models passenger side? I called Fleetwood and they said to take it to Ford first after I go and weight it per their manual.= side to side, front to back etc.
at a public scale and pay for it myself. Then bring the results back to them and Ford before they will consider who problem it is. The dealer won't touch under warranty either until either Fleetwood or Ford make a determination. Bottom line is I have to do everything myself before they will look at it.
If anyone were to just look at the front you can see how far off it is.
There is very little clearance (about 2 inches) between the wheel well on the Passenger side and 6 inches clearance on the drivers side. I have measured six different locations, frame to ground frame to center of springs, body to ground, bounce stop to springs, etc. and the results show most likely either design issue or bad springs. I am still working the problem with Fleetwood and Ford and of course they are pointing fingers at each other.
I should learn more next week.
So..... If this model is what you are interesting in buying, check out the levelness of the motorhome first to determine if there is a problem or not empty with balance and level.
