My husband is active duty military and just returned home safely from his second tour over seas. He deserved a new car of his choice after returning.

Being so young and barely having credit, we HAD to finance his car through flag ship. We were told his interest rate would be dropped to 6% after we faxed a copy of his orders over. They lied. Each customer service rep has a different story everytime we call.

They always say they will call back the following day to resolve the issues. They always tell us, " well, he's in the army he can afford a $600 car payment." Boy, if they only knew that they make more in one week than military does in one month. The representatives are rude, dishonest and overall ***. Unfortunately we are stuck with flag ship for the next 6 years with a 19.8% interest rate.

However, we will NEVER finance another vehicle through them ever again. If you're looking for a professional, helpful, and honest finance company I suggest NOT doing business with flag ship.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Correction,

It IS NOT ILLEGAL. Because we are no longer in a "State of War" the "Soldiers and Sailors Act" does dot guarantee a lowered interest rate.

Even is a service member is in theater the President is the one who decides if the County is in a State of War. And we are currently NOT.

I agree that they should honor the interest rate but legal they do not have to.

When dealers allow people to leave the lot without securing financing the kind of screw the driver because if they have less than perfect credit the almost always have to go with a subprime lender. Basically knowing a higher interest rate is coming.

It sucks but its the truth.
