The clinical CPNE is not well communicated at the beginning of the program. If it is well communicated most students will not sign up for the stress and subjective money-making program at Excelsior.

The waiting period contributes to the failure. 12 months to 16 months for my wife. Passed everything but was failed because she did not place a pillow under the patient's feet. FCCA hidden secret.

You are not told which areas you failed or how to improve. To all aspiring nurses out there, there are a lot of options for you especially if you are an LPN. Please do not go to Excelsior. It is not worth it for an ASN degree that you will never have.

You end up spending thousands of dollars and making trips around the country. Hotel bills, CPNE fees. We lost $10,000 in one month just to take the CPNE in Texas. Please read online and ask a lot of questions about the CPNE before signing up.

They expect you to know without teaching you any clinical skills. This is the only nursing program that does not teach clinical assessments but expects 100% performance at CPNE. If a student could fail a degree course for not placing a pillow under a patient, after five years of schooling, then there is a problem with the program.

There is no second chance because you have to pay $ 2800 again and wait for another 14 months. While waiting, you just become *** due to the lack of a hands-on training.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $45000.

Preferred solution: Change it for those interested in the future. I am done.

I’ll like to join. They lied about the CPNE wait time.

I have been waiting for about a year now and my career is on a standstill.

I am about to start all over with a traditional nursing program. I am very disappointed.

I graduated from Excelsior in 2002 with AAS in Nursing. They tell you up front what is expected.

It is up to the individual to prepare. The CPNE consisted of 3 days. The first evening was a nursing lab, day 2 included 2 patient assignments and day 3 included 1 patient assignment with the possibility of doing a make up if you failed one of the 3.

The information from Excelsior for the CPNE said specifically if you do not prepare ahead then prepare not to pass.

Yes it was difficult but doable if you prepared adequately.

I have never regretted the program and know 4 other nurses personally who graduated from Excelsior all their first attempt on CPNE. All passed the NClex boards without problems also.

I would love to begin gathering all those who've been victimized by the Excelsior and DLSI scam. Anyone who wants to help and start the ball rolling for a class action law suit on these institutions.

These places have proven to attract ambitious minds, only to set them up to fail.

This goes beyond the money lost but towards the principle deserved. Together we are strong.
