Please apply for financial hardship if you are qualified. The information is on the Eversource website.

This was a first time for me 17 years same address anyway the limits /qualifications regarding household size and income range etc are right on the Eversource website and are very fair. If approved you will then not only qualify for a possible percentage off your bill but if approved this can also place you in a "hardship status" if you qualify which in turn makes it so you only have to pay "sometimes"as low as 10% of your bill each month allowing you time to get things together. I promise you I too have dealt with horror stories with the "service reps" in fact today I was given a "verbal warning" and told I would be shut off in two days by a customer service rep just this morning who then refused to let me speak to a supervisor.I hung up on her and called back got a different rep I expressed through tears at this point I needed to speak with a supervisor in regards to my bill I was then placed on a brief hold and when the supervisor came on she kindly explained that actually I only needed to make a minimal percentage payment each month because I was granted "hardship status" and no I did not have to make another $81 payment today. So please apply and if approved please call eversource and ask to speak to a supervisor regarding your bill I was completely misinformed and actually given a so called "verbal warning" today that I would be shut off in two days if I didn't pay $81.00 and I had just paid $200 last week.Then this same customer service rep refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor to where I had no choice but to hang up on her and call back at which point I got a different rep I again asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on a brief hold then thank goodness I was finally speaking to a Supervisor who told me quite the opposite of what the prior rep was insisting was the so called final option of paying $81 today.

It turned out in my case I did not even have to make that payment I was completely misinformed by the prior customer service rep. I know emotionally it is bad enough dealing with the "hardship" title I spend more time in tears than smiling.Thank the lord they offer these types of help and have properly trained supervisors with knowledge and a heart or me and my two children would be without heat,lights,etc in two days time.
