Eveready Flood Control was started in 1955 by an inventor who was also a homeowner suffering a flooded basement. The company is a member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers. It provides such services as Flood Control, Ejector and Sump Pump Replacement, Power Rodding of Main Sewer Line and Branch Lines, Catch Basin Cleaning, Power Jetting of Sewer Lines, Locating of Sewer and Water Lines and Televising of Sewer Lines. In addition to servicing its local flood control customers, Eveready Flood Control provides its products for installation by other contractors for such agencies as The City of Naperville, IL; DuPage IL Metropolitan Juvenile Detention Center; Villa Scalabrini Retirement Center, Elmhurst, IL; University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana, IL; and St. Louis Metropolitan Sanitary District, St. Louis, MO. It has installed approximately 10,000 residential flood control systems. Eveready Flood Control has worked with many local municipalities on a variety of flood proofing programs, including Naperville, Skokie, River Forest, Elmwood Park, Des Plaines, Cicero, Bensenville, South Holland, etc.
