Eric Symons is a guitarist composer. He gave his first concert in his native Hollywood, California when he was sixteen. At the concert he performed masterworks by such great composers as Tedesco, Bach and Albeniz. Four years later, at age of 20, Eric Symons performed Concierto Del Sur by Ponce with the Reno Philharmonic. Symons studied composition at the Boston Conservatory with Larry Smith, as well as he did it in Hollywood with such famous film composers as Jerry Fielding and Lyle Murphy. Unlike many guitarists, Eric Symons has had a split career. He worked not only as a professional guitarist, but also as a composer for commercial settings and fine arts. His guitar compositions as well as his compositions for film and video span many styles.
