We had to have our AC unit serviced within 6 months of moving in. First issue was noted as not having any refrigerant, which tech said is extremely uncommon especially on a new unit.
Said more than likely a leak somewhere but unable to find. Serviced unit and worked fine for another 12ish months and stopped working again. At this time had to replace coils and Drees along with Tempo Air refused to cover this cost and stand behind the product. Said it was out of warranty even though we already had to have it serviced once.
Could not say if previous issues may have caused current issue. We paid another company to replace parts as they were significantly cheaper. Now again, another year later unit has stopped working. We are on our 3-4 service call on our AC unit.
House is above 80 degrees. We have made attempts to contact our warranty manager not once but twice now and have waited multiple days in between tries and have not received a call back. I have also gone to the Drees website and filled out the form as directed 4 days ago and still have not received a call or response. At this time, we are in the process of working with a lawyer and pursuing legally.
We value customer service and support more than anything and through our experience (there are others not mentioned but would be glad to share if anyone is interested) would NEVER recommend a Drees home. If nothing goes wrong, of course great experience. If any issues during first 12 months they are right there. Days out of warranty you are no longer of importance to them.
We are more than willing to share any and all forms of communication verbatim if needed as to prove we are not over or under expressing our experience with Drees. Buy at own risk.
