Dream Products - Awful Slippers, Robotic Insipid Customer Service Response
Searching for "diabetic" slippers (for swollen feet/ankles), I purchased men's Big Mouth Comfort Boots. Looked soft and comfy in picture, total price was $11.96 after the "new customer discount," and included shipping.
Product was delivered within 2 weeks, but was cheap, hard canvas-covered cardboard over hard rubber sole, not what the online photos looked like. The post office LOWEST price to return was over $12, and the replacement product I was considering was $10. So with the quality of the first item as it was, I was hesitant to pay for the return, purchase again and then possibly have to pay return shipping for a second item. I contacted Customer Service for replacement.
After 3 responses, I continue to get "simply return the merchandise" answers, word for word. I've asked for a manager to review my request, asking for pre-paid label or a simple clarification as to whether the "simply return" and "process your refund" phrases meant that the shipping cost would also be refunded. I'm keeping the old item to donate, rather than throw good money after bad. Trying to retrain my old cheap self to remember that if it's too good to be true ($12 slippers including free shipping), it probably is.
Why did I insist on believing the quality could possibly be any good!?
I'd never buy from them again. Keep your money.
