My Bluetooth was purchased years ago and recently opened. THE BATTERY WILL NOT CHARGE.Unit purchased years ago and lost in a move.

Recently found in its original sealed package. Unpackaged today, charged for 4 hours, and tried to turn it on, Nothing! I put the charger back on and tried to turn it on and the lights lite up and it STARTED TO cycle. Useless to try and pair it if the battery will not hold a charge.
