I travel to Las Vegas 5 to 6 times a year. I always use Costco Travel to select the best price of four major car rental companies that they deal with.

Most of the time, Budget Rent a Car is the lowest priced in Las Vegas. On October 11, 2016 I picked-up a intermediate size rental for the same price as quoted on my Costco confirmation Number C32474****. I signed the agreement and used the car for duration that I requested and returned the car with a full tank of gas an hour and 10 minutes early. The car was checked out by an attendant named Amanda and found everything satisfactory.

The problem started when her handheld computer printed out a price not the same as the price on the contract. My signed contract showed the price of $168.32 and her print out receipt showed $203.60. My frustration started when the Fast Break agent refused to adjust the error. After waiting for the night manager named ARA, I got them to correct the error which lowered the price to $177.77.

This price was still in error of the contract price of $168.32 which was $9.45 short. Due to a worst problem of missing my flight I left shuttle center just furious since ARA informed me that he couldn't credit me the balance due since it was in the computer and the price was final. Again on November 8, 2016, I somehow rented a Mini Van thru Costco Travel and again Budget Rent a Car was the vendor with the lowest price. My Costco Confirmation Number C32562**** was quoted at $218.12.

The Budget Contract was the same price. I used the Van and returned it filled with gas 45 minutes early. Again the same problem occurred, the check out agent found everything satisfactory and again printed out an error price of $250.00. Again I had to wait for the night manager to make the correction.

This time the correction was only a few cents off which was $218.39.

What I really want to happen is someone from Costco Travel bring up my issues with Budget Rent a Car Manager at Las Vegas Airport to correct the problem with their computer system. I am planning to go to Las Vegas again in February 2017 and I will taking this to the Consumer Protection Agency if it happens for the third time.

Reason of review: Pricing issue.

Monetary Loss: $10.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Costco Travel Pros: So far it has been excellent.

Avis/budget seem the most problematic with Costco rentals. Best to avoid?

I'm sorry that the car agency was giving you issues and I know that its hard to get a hold of a supervisor at times. Though I do not work on Vega's packages I'll take your story into consideration when a member asks me to recommend a rental company.
