I had two (2) Comfort Star ac/heat pump units installed in my home. The original Goodman ac'/heat pumps had been in my house for 20 years and still worked; however, I was told they should be updated with more efficient units. I contracted with a friend ac man without specifying what type I wanted... He showed up with "Comfort Star" and I was immediately alarmed knowing they were made in KOREA.

He assured me he had installed other units that seemed to be working fine.

Stupidly, I accepted the installation. I started losing Freon in both units and subsequent trips resulted with new "A" coils being installed because they were found to be leaking and freezing-up. I was angered that the leaking of Freon continued. My installer said the old copper lines between the outside/inside units may be the problem. Well, I agreed to pay several hundred dollars to install outside lines between the units.

All is well for a few of months and the "A" coils started freezing-up again. He installed a dye in the lines and found the "A" coil's again leaking in the same place as the ones previously removed.

He ordered another set under warranty and installed them and the same problem returned soon thereafter. He went and bought a stop-leak additive and injected it into both Freon lines to no avail, leaking continued.

NOW THE LAST STRAW! He called about the continued problem to Comfort Star in of Miami, FL they told him they were still under warranty; however, he would have to contact Air Supply in Jackson, MS. He called them and was told that there would be a cost of $100 shipping on each "A" coil and that I would have to call them to certify I was the customer. I was told $100 apiece to deliver them. I asked if I could pick them up myself and was told that would probably be best

Off I go to Jackson, MS a 350 mile round trip distance. I get to AIR SUPPLY and was asked if I wanted to pay the handling fee by cash or credit card. I asked angrily how much and why if they were in warranty. He told me he had to cover his expenses and proceeded to charge me $133.49 with tax.

In closing, Comfort Star and Air Supply can go to *** and I will never knowingly buy a KOREAN product of any kind.
