I do not like the new Spectrum Guide for several reasons:

1. The program titles are large, however, the info print through out the system is too small. It is not readable. Background color makes it difficult to read.

2. I used to be able to hit info button and see if the program or movie was new or repeat. Do not think this is available on new guide.

3. When scanning channels, the channel number shows in small print on the screen under large program title, but the cable box does not indicate what channels are being scanned unless I select a channel to view. At least the channel number on cable box is easy to read once a program is selected.

Bottom line is Charter has rolled out this new guide without input from their customers. It is frustrating when the print cannot be easily read and there are so many steps to get into the system to get the info needed. I have talked with the Spectrum Guide Initiative Team and voiced my frustration and the specific issues they need to address. I asked about getting a user guide and was told it is on line. Sure would have been helpful to have one mailed to the house to view before the new system was up and running.

I hope many people make their opinions known to Charter...give them your suggestions to improve the system. The old guide was not broken....did not need to be fixed. It worked and was customer friendly and easy to use.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

I agree. I have a tough time with this too.

My husband and I both hate the new guide and menu for all the reasons previously stated by others. I do want to add how horrible the On Demand guide is now.

You have to read a poster art box, where some are nearly impossible to read.

From what I am seeing on the AT&T U-Verse site, they at least give you an option of the poster art or written version in their menu set-up. How ridiculous of Charter not to at least do this.

Charter recently upgraded my parents charter service to the new guide. Both are frustrated on how hard it is to use along with not being able to see the print.

I spent an hour trying to set the guide up for them, but I too see many issues with the way it works.

Charter better add a few more call takers, I am sure they will be getting many calls. Makes one wonder why a company would upset their loyal customers with a new service that is poorly designed.
