I was a new employee with Century this year and came to them with many years experience in Home Building Co. ownership and management.

It didn't take long to figure out that it is a very hostile environment to try and work in and the finger can be pointed directly at there new EVP Liesel Cooper.

She has an extremely foul mouth and likes to embarrass the employees in public and is quite fond of using demeaning names to address the employees.

Her many YouTube videos claim she is all about the customer and quality, that is the farthest thing from the truth you can imagine.

Stop by any Century job site and ask the unfortunate owners that believed her.

In the few months I was there, which ended a short time ago when I resigned after complaints to HR and supervisors with NO resolution, I watched her force out many long time employees because she "doesn't like them" just to be replaced with her friends from former companies.

She treats homeowners wants, needs and concerns even worse.

She is quite fond of the "F" word and if a home owner crosses her she threatens to cancel the sale, she will keep their entire deposit and raise the home price on the next person to come along.

This is, in my opinion, is immoral but not illegal?

How very unfortunate.

She also sticks her hands in everyone's daily activities and makes numerous changes without letting anyone know then rips them apart the next time she sees them for not making said changes they no nothing about.

Many people can't stand her there and the company moral is heading into the toilet. It's so unfortunate that many people feel they have to put up with this type of behavior out of fear of losing their jobs.

The owners of Century Communities are equally at fault for hiring her then turning a blind eye to her deplorable behavior.

If you feel you need to buy a home from Century, prepare your self for a very unpleasant experience and what ever you do, never buy a home that is slated to close anywhere near a fiscal quarter end or it will rushed then be shoved down your throat to meet their stockholders financial needs, not yours.

A home is supposed to be a dream come true for so many that spend all they can just to afford one. It should be built with care and quality, with the new home owners and their families in mind, not just a way to make millions for themselves.

Shame on you Century Communities and your hateful ill tempered EVP Liesel Cooper.

How do you people even sleep at night.

Reason of review: Hostile work environment.

Preferred solution: I want my job back and the reason for such a hostile environment removed so that Century Communities can live up to their promise of change for the better..

Century Communities Cons: Hostile environment, Condescending management, Fraud, Excessive employee turnover.

Let me just say I am so sorry for your experience, but we are living proof of the nightmare you are describing. This experience will be one we will forever regret.

This company does not care about the customer and those who have purchased a home from Century Communities WILL find out just how poor the construction really is!! Century Communities cuts corners wherever they can.

We have heard from several past and current employees just how bad it is to work there. Several sub-contractors have also had negative comments about Century Communities' management.

As homeowners of a Century home, we have experienced passive-aggressive behavior from the Director of Customer Relations due to the excessive number of warranty issues we have had. It is not our fault that Century builds poor quality homes!!!! Also, the VP of Operations will make sure you know that he serves on the Board of Directors for the Better Business Bureau if you tell them you are going to file a complaint.

Very truthful statement. Liesel Cooper has only ever cared about herself, NEVER about her customers or employees.

Beyond the fact that NOBODY likes or trusts anything she says, Liesel is a fraud and beyond ***. I hope she chokes on her own stupidity and does not recover.

This sounds like many of the employees of Century Communities. The President Les Anderson, VP of Operations Mike Fenton and Director of Customer Service Jeff Mattson don't care about the customer once they have your money! They refuse to correct issues pointed out on the initial walk through.

Liesel Cooper is not only unethical, shady and a disgusting representative for Century Communities, she is actually the stupidest business person I've come across in a very long time. I will be shocked if she is still with Century this time next year.

I wish I had read this before because the author is correct... Liesel Cooper is all that is wrong with Century Communities.

They hire very pleasant sales people and present beautiful models... then they will under-deliver all customers and press for a hard close at the end of their fiscal quarter.

Trust the reviews, or prepare to be under-served and severely disappointed. Liesel is the problem at Century, so ask if she is gone before signing a contract.
