New ReviewerOn September 28, 2020, I leased a 2021 KIA Forte for 299.98 per month
from Car Town Kia in Nicholasville Ky. The salesman said that I was
guaranteed a working vehicle.
Either the car worked, or I would get a loaner.
On July 8, 2021 it broke down. The key fob and windshield wipers did not work.
It would not shift out of park without pushing the emergency button. The
engine would not turn off unless I pulled the ECM5 fuse. The battery was
drained dead each night, unless I disconnected the negative battery terminal.
I charged the battery and drive it to the dealer, 20 miles away.
They would not give me a loaner car, as promised, so I drive the Kia back to
Lexington, KY.
They said they would sell me a new car for $1000.00 down
and 72 months of payments.
I drive my sister in law to work, and my wife to work, and me to work.
My sister in law takes her other sister to work, and takes care of her
disabled mother. If I do not have a working car, four people lose their
jobs and one person dies.
So we drove to Paris, KY to Dan Cummins Chrysler, and I bought a used
PT Cruiser as is, no warranty, for $1850.00 which was all I had saved up.
It was advertised for $2000.00 but they give me a discount. I will
definitely do business with Dan Cummins again.
I had to pawn some tools to pay my electric bill.
The Kia has been at the dealer for over two weeks, and they still
cannot figure out what is wrong with it.
They said the rules are
they cannot give me a discount on my monthly payment. I am paying
for something I do not have, a working car.
Monetary Loss: $1880.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.
Car Town Kia Usa Pros: Friendly.
