Update by user Aug 09, 2021

Update - I called several times to talk with the service manager and never spoke to him. I did receive a call from the Customer Experience Manager, Andrea Boyer.

She gave me no resolve other than offering a free oil change on my next visit (which will be never), She did admit they are having issues with the online chat and answering service as to not receiving messages.

I asked if the service manager would talk with the mechanic I took my car to when the service light came on and she flat out refused. I am very disappointed in them as she did admit I have been a very loyal customer and didn't care that I won't be back.

I bought my 2013 GM Terrain from Bob Fisher October 2016. I had routine service done there faithfully and have documentation to prove such.

My check engine light came on 6/29/2021 and already had an appointment scheduled for oil change/tire rotation on 7/2/2021. I called Bob Fisher to see if they would have time to address this new issue at my scheduled appointment. No one ever called me back. I called Carl Esterly at Esterly's in West Lawn, PA.

They scheduled me for the following day. My vehicle code was P0014, CAM Shaft Position Timing Over Advanced or System Performance. I had less than a quart and a half of oil in my car. The oil was sludge and as black as black can be.

He said my car's oil was not changed for at least

12,000 miles. My Intake Timing Solenoid and Exhaust Var Timing Solenoids had to be replaced as they were caked with crud inside and out. CAM wasn't getting oil because of this. He said my engine was close to blowing up.

I talked to Josh La Rosse (shop manager) at Bob Fisher on 7/3/2021 and he denied lack of service. He said he believes his technicians and disputed my mechanic. I spent $335.08 at Esterly's and $49.95 for every oil change that didn't happen at Bob Fisher's (at least 4 of those). Josh La Rosse said he would talk to the service manager (Kevin Mertz) but I haven't heard a peep from anyone.

I think the fact that I am a woman may be the reason for him dismissing me. Very disappointed, thought Bob Fisher Chevrolet would listen to a very loyal customer and actually represent an American company.

User's recommendation: Don't buy or service vehicles at Bob Fisher Chevrolet in Reading, PA.

Monetary Loss: $535.

Preferred solution: Money for service from Esterly's and service not received from Bob Fisher. Apologies from shop and service manager and owner of Bob Fisher..

Bob Fisher Chevrolet Cons: Service not being performed, Customer service terrible.

Location: 4111 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA 19605
