I'm confused! Why do you give Amica a 5 star rating, then complain about them being horrible? Please, someone correct this posting and credit Amica with the 1 star rating they deserve!
The state Bureau of Insurance can be fraught with red tape & delays. Since insurance fraud has become a big focus, I think the overseers at the bureaus are prone to side with the insurers more now, so the insurers have us over a barrel.
Consider using an trusted independent agent/broker to represent you in all insurance purchasing matters. Sadly, they often end up with their hands tied too. It's become pretty disgusting what the health insurers get to do to you with rates skyrocketing, incomprehensible twists on how you obtain any benefits from evermore dwindling coverages.
And all under the auspices of our Federal Gov't! Insurance truly is a crying shame these days
