Alaska Airlines - Flight captain pilot did not show up top pilot Alaska flt 138 to Chicago from Anchorage causing me to have to stay an extra day in Anchorage. Plane missed on 9 April 2016 **** hrs.
I am waiting to take flight 138 on April 10, 2016 at 2310 hrs from Anchorage to Chicago after sitting in the plane for close to 2 hours and told the delay was due to scheduling problems. Meanwhile we waited than were told the plane was cancelled. I stood in line for it seemed all night. I was set up in nearby hotel with transportation. I was given three food vouchers which could only purchase a small bowl of oatmeal and a cheeseburger for the day I waited.
Problem was we had a family mass at 5 PM and relatives came in from all over the Midwest to attend and I am the head of the family and was unable to make it.
My name is Terrence lynn-tiahsiac@***.com and phone number is 708-403-****.and ticketed with delta -C#-GY9N3D and plane with Alaska138.
The issue is we were not told the truth and if then the rebozrding was not done in a timely and competent manner. I was flexible but I had a new employee who needed assisted from a supervisor and I was not given any viable alternatives to choose from.
I asked him how I was to be compensated for this avoidable Inconvenience caused by a captain no show?
He hesitated and circumvented this issue.. He said that customer service would contact me
.Well they did not..Please assist me in this matter. I am close to 70 and disabled. It was a difficult experience and would like to be reassured that my patronage matters.
Sincerely Terrence Lynn of 10075 Holly Court in Orlando Park Illinois 60462. Tiahsiac@***.com., 708-403-****

The captain was probaly coming from a flight that was delayed possibly from weather. The food vouchers are only to offset the cost of airport food.If you were not delayed you would still have to feed yourself.Delays are common while flying. If you must be somewhere by a certain time itโs better to give a buffer day or two.
Unfortunately this kind of thing is common in the aviation industry.there is not much most airlines will do except maybe guve you a voucher of a few dollars to use with the airline.
