I ran into a distribuitor of the product by mere accident,my red flags should have come up,they were selling a weight loss product, yet they looked like they spent their share of time at the buffet, they said they had been using it for a while,I wanted to lose about 20lbs and so I tried the meal replacement, appetite suppressants, spark,it works for a while, but I believe that the sugar content of the products may set some people up for diabetes, they will tell you that it doesn t contain bad sugar...???... whatever that means,it s just too much sugar, when you get tired of it,and you will, your metabolism rate is still the same as before, the MNS appetite suppressants stop working and you are back to where you were prior to Advocare...distribuitors want you to bevome one and start selling the product, they are in it to make money,I never cared about that side of Advocare,I m happy w my job and I sure don t wanna be a sales man for Advocare,If you must use it,please do check with a doctor,Advocare brags about their research team but most of them are just pharmacists, you ll be better off changing your eating habits and exercercicing, please stay away from this stuff.

Most of them are just pharmacists? As a pharmacist with a "real job" I am offended that you say "just pharmacists" - we know way more than the doctors =) Ps learn proper grammar.

The doctors are renouned scientist and medical doctors NOT pharmacists. If you did proper research instead of bashing a company good name you would know that one of the doctors was responsible for the feeding tube, which saves lives in many cases. You should really educate yourself more before badmouthing something that didn't work for you.

This sounds like you wanted a quick fix and losing weight isn't quick when you do it the right way. You should cleanse first then try changing your diet. Sounds like you should just go buy the *** in the supermarket so u can **** your brains out then maybe you will be happy

Nothing but a marketing ploy and products filled with ***. Caffeine and Splenda. Splenda has been linked to digestive problems and possible connections to Leukemia.

I have personally lost 38#. My wife lost 20#'s.

Advocare changed our lives!

Not just our health.

Completely changed the way we viewed food. Its been the best decision that we have made.

I find your complaint to be a complete line of ***....nothing you indicated makes ANY sense in regard to diet, nutrition and how your body actually works or the impact the products have on your body. Instead of bashing something that you didn't use properly and not getting the results promised to you, I suggest you read about the ingredients and learn the proper way to use them.

Here some good info to read:

What effects do AdvoCareยฎ Meal Replacement Shakes have on blood sugar levels?

The effects of drinking a Chocolate, Berry or Vanilla Meal Replacement Shake on blood sugar levels are presented in the graph below. The results clearly show that the Meal Replacement Shakes have relatively little impact on blood sugar levels as compared to a standard serving of sugar (50 grams). Blood sugar levels on average increased from approximately 88 mg/dL to approximately 96 to 100 mg/dL and returned to baseline within 60 minutes. The average glycemic load for Meal Replacement Shakes is approximately 4 as compared to 50 for glucose.

Glycemic load is a determination of the relative effects that a food will have on blood sugar levels, and is determined by dividing the glycemic index by 100 and multiplying by the grams of absorbable carbohydrates in a given portion of food

What are sugar alcohols and why are they used in AdvoCareยฎ products?

Sugar alcohols, also called polyols, are a group of carbohydrate-based sweeteners with 50 to 90 percent of the relative sweetness of sugar. They are not considered 'artificial' sweeteners since they occur naturally in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. However, sugar alcohols can also be produced commercially from sugar, glucose or starch. They are poorly metabolized and absorbed by the body so they provide approximately one-half to two-thirds the calories of sugar.

Examples include sorbitol, maltitol or mannitol, isomalt, lactitol, erythritol and xylitol.

Three potential health benefits of sugar alcohols are: low glycemic index, low insulin stimulation, and low incidence of dental cavities. The glycemic index ranks foods and sweeteners according to their ability to raise glucose levels in the blood. Research has shown that sugar alcohols help individuals manage blood sugar levels, possibly due to their low glycemic response compared to sucrose (table sugar) and glucose.

Using sugar alcohols to reduce insulin responses from carbohydrate foods is considered important in weight management. Studies have shown there is less demand for the pancreas to secrete insulin when sugar alcohols are used instead of glucose and sucrose. Microorganisms in the mouth metabolize (ferment) sucrose and other sweeteners, leading to tooth decay. Sugar alcohols do not promote fermentation in the oral cavity and are known as "tooth-friendly".

I've personally been using it for several weeks and I love it. I've lost 15 lbs so far and feel better than I have in probably 5-6 years. I think if you overuse ANY product that there can be side effects but I'm not having any issues with blood sugar levels or anything else and I follow the suggestions that Advocare gives me as far as frequency and amounts.

Hi RH..I was wondering what or which products are you using exactly to lose weight. I'm researching the pro's and ***'s to see if I want to try it.

I need to lose about 20lbs. Thanks for the input :)

Advocare is an amazing product and just like anything you have to make changes. No you don't have to drink meal replacements daily how are you teaching yourself how to eat properly by doing that.

This is the healthiest I have felt in years and I am the best judge for me. My gosh how healthy are you while you are over weight. I have been diagnosed with pre diabetes but this has nothing to do with Advocare.

It is my bad choices I made before Advocare. And if someone can make a good living selling this then good for them everyone has to do something

ALWAYS ~ A L W A Y S CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST!

If you play with your body chemistry than know your body chemistry.

If you don't

Understand "Body Chemistry" than at the very least get a "Baseline" to compare

results with post trial or supplemental diet aids. You DO NOT KNOW MORE THAN I -

If you really want someone to believe you're credible, try using proper grammar to show that you're educate rather than claiming many years of experience. Just a suggestion.

Perhaps you should take your own advice.

Advocare is great! There is a sugar substitute in products that is better for you than aspartame in diet soda and Spark is a lot healthier for you than that!

Also, meal replacements and other products are not used all the time and that way you are getting very little sugar substitute in a daily basis. Also the vitamins can be taken after that to help you after your challenge, your distributor should be able to help you with more questions.
