Do not trust these guys and read all the fine prints before you sign. I didn't want to go with long contracts, so I paid for the hardware when I signed up a one year agreement with them in 2014.

The system stopped functioning shortly after installation and after reading all these negative reviews about how much they charge for a tech visit, I didn't even bother to call and waited for the rest of the year to pass by. Then I noticed they charged my CC after, when I called the rude rep said at the back of your contract somewhere says you have to cancel sixty day prior to the end of your agreement. Told them I receive junk emails from Ackerman few times a week, you should at least send a notice prior to auto renewal.This is a misleading and unfair business practice where the onus is on the consumer to act. Their Auto-Renewal is a way of extracting more money and now they want to charge me for the rest of the year. I'm going to write to BBB and I will fight it to the end.

The reason I wrote this review was that I just got an email from Amazon that clearly explains "Your Prime membership is being renewed for another year, if you prefer not to continue please click here"

this is how a reliable and reputable business should act.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with us. I requested that our Customer Loyalty Manager research your account and review your agreement, so we can do all that we can.

Our policy requires that we have written request from the account owner of record in order to terminate alarm services so that we can be sure that if anything happens, we have something in writing with your signature stating you wanted the account discontinued. The process to shut down a system is not instant, so we request advance notice before cancellation. We also recently implemented calling customers to verbally tell them what the agreement terms are for the monitoring of our UL Certified facility before their installation. We also send emails to remind customers about the agreement renewal.

Until the cancellation document has been received and the agreement satisfied, we cannot legally cancel service. Though we aim to make every customer feel valued, we are unable to satisfy this request. As soon a letter is received and the agreement is satisfied, we are vigilant in discontinuing service and ending charges.

I was scammed too stuck in 3 yr contract I didn't know existed and they forged my name. I'm trying to do a class action movie is there a Facebook or other page about this company where we all can start a petition and or class action? I'm not letting up on this they have deceptive practices and forgery.
