Acceptance Now - Rip off with leasing fees and PREDATORY LENDING
Acceptance Now is a scam that charges you double if not tripple for the price of your furniture. My original bill was $1460.00, I missed the 90 day payment term but made consistent payments.
I attempted to make payments of $250 monthly but was told I could only make payment of my agreement ($169) about no more or less unless I wanted to make a double payment monthly. I had never heard of that before. Still I made double payments by the time my 90 day marker was reached I only owed $300.00, the next month $1,100 was added to my bill stating it was leasing fees and taxes. Now how in the *** could one month of leasing fees and taxes come to $1,100.00?
This company is an absolute scam and *** please DO NOT PATRONIZE THE PROGRAM OR IT SERVICES. TO AVOID MESSING UP MY CREDIT I HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE FOR A LIVING ROOM SET THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR ONCE.
I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE EVER AGAIN OR REFER ANYONE TO IT. I EVEN REQUESTED TO HAVE THE FURNITURE RETURNED THE MANAGER ADVISED ME THAT THEY HAVE A "TWO MONTH WAITING LIST" FOR FURNITURE TO BE EVEN SCHEDULED TO BE RETURNED WHICH SHOWS YOU JUST HOW UNPLEASED PEOPLE ARE WITH THE FURNITURE YET WHILE YOU WAIT THE ADDITIONAL TWO MONTHS YOUR STILL OBLIGATED TO PAY THE FEES.
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
Monetary Loss: $1200.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Acceptance Now Cons: Not being told about the hidden fee, Leasing fees and predatory lending.

You canโt be held liable for their inability to supply service. I told them to come pick up my mattress.
I wasnโt making threats, I was SERIOUS! I hate the *** mattress and because I was forced to purchase *their* mattress protector that did NOT protect my mattress, the warranty is void due to a small stain. After speaking to some *** named Danny, I posted here. Then I called the store and reemed them for their financing company.
They claim no actual affiliation but this company advertises for Ashley, so I believe they are full of crap! Regardless, the next day I got a call from Crystal at (704) 721-****โฌ and when I refused to pay more than my purchase contract dictated and told them to come get their POS mattress, then became very vocal about it, I got a call the following day telling me my account was paid in full. I asked for that in writing and was told she wasnโt sure what they could send but she would try to get me something. Not holding my breath that I wonโt have to call every month for the next year, but I wonโt stop until I get that.
On another note, this and ANY โno interest for x monthsโ purchase contract will indeed add interest and fees all the way back to the first day of the contract if it is not paid in full by the end of that interest free period.
It doesnโt matter if it is 10 payments left or just one. Itโs in that small print buried deep in a bunch of other garbage no one ever reads.

Momo never he see anybody being pounced upon and dragged into store like predatory animal. Momo wonder why only people who complain are people who no pay bills when they supposed to pay bills.

Momo kind of sounds like an Acceptance Now monkey. Well Momo this zoo keeper pays her bills, did not get taken, they tried but I have made it a point to bring down predatory businesses.
So Momo, the little guy that is already having a hard time, and believes in a world where people help other people not take advantage of their despair, will not continue to be victimized by the Acceptance Nows, Pay Day Loans and other predatory loan companies anymore.
Yes there are some sharks on both sides but this one has an oceon of bad guys that need to be controlled. Running them out of business through the media and the courts, every time I see them is my mission.
This company is a rip off ... I had gotten some furniture and missed a payment and was told that they would come pick up the furniture for failure to pay.
this went on for 4 months of harassment making time to have the furniture picked up and no one would call or show up. the woman who would always call was very rude and disrespecting . finally after 4 months they finally decided to pick the furniture up after I told them I would sit the furniture outside on the curb so they could pick it up from there. next thing I know is 8 months later I am being carted off to jail for furniture I no longer have and being ordered to pay for some *** I no longer have in my possession .
so tell me that its not a scam and I will call you a straight up liar . but you will never get any business from myself or anyone I am associated with!!!!!
It was 90 days, same as cash, right? By your own admission you missed paying it off in 90 days.
What does your contract say about that??? Your report here is nothing more than you whining about the consequences YOU brought upon YOURSELF because it was YOU who failed to pay within the 90 day period!
So what if they missed the 90 days it shouldn't go up $800 because of 1 month especially if the customer is making double payments trying to pay it off asap.
Because as per the agreement which is pretty much standard for 90 days SAC, all the interest becomes due.

To the person who works for acceptance now, if you donโt want your customers to feel this way, you should consider firing the employee with the poor attitude who trolls here because he isnโt making enough in bonuses on his collections. You should also consider using an actual user name rather than being anonymous because it kind of looks like your entire company is full of bullies.
If you canโt identify yourself, as far as I am concerned, youโre probably the same guy being exceptionally immature and unprofessional while bullying your customers. Considering my own experience of being bullied to pay more than my contract stated I agreed to, I am inclined to believe that you encourage this behavior in your company and then send in the good cop routine. The simple fact is that your company is infected with unethical and illegal lending practices. Maybe you are the rogue customer service person attempting to make it better, maybe this is all part of your companyโs practice.
I for one, will be filing an abundance of complaints over my experience.
And I received a call after posting my complaint telling me that the account was indeed paid in full. Which, as far as I can tell makes Danny a thug trying to steal our money on behalf of your company.
