I financed a bedroom set at Rooms To Go through Acceptance Now. The main issue is that the person who signed me up, signed me up for extra insurances without knowledge nor my permission.
And later on that day I am emailed documents that I never read but apparently I Docusigned (I signed nothing electronically while I was there, all paper forms)one of them being an Arbitration Agreement. So I was able to get one removed by another employee at the same location (who is probably the most helpful in this whole situation) who was also the one that notified me of all the extra charges that weren't balancing out what I was quoted in the beginning. However, for the other insurance I had to be referred to the District Manager so that he could remove it. So he calls me about 45 hours after I put in the request, and was very cordial in the beginning.
But when I was explaining that I never read and docusigned anything while I was there so I wasn't aware of an agreement that he was making reference to, he pitched a fit and started yelling into the phone "Well it has your name on it, and I don't believe you! These documents will hold up in court! So good luck, and I have a copy of your ID". Which yes, the person that signing me up did take a copy of my Driver's License when I was filling out paperwork (My place of work, references, past addresses, ect.) So after hanging up, because I'm not going to listen a grown man throw a fit, I called customer service again and requested a referral to the Regional Manager, and drove to the Rooms To Go to cancel the whole order.
The person who signed me up admitted doing the Docusign for me, while I was cancelling my order. So at this point I am waiting to see what kind of experience I will have with the Regional Manager, if I do get a call back since I called the order.
