Veteran Organization dupes Veteran
During the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, my ceiling caved in the master bedroom. Dangerous mold was exposed and left open in my home for a week while we were on vacation.
Upon return, we became very sick--throwing up blood, blood clots, TIA, seizures, etc. We vacated the home and were homeless. This organization was contacted to assist us. They did assist.
However, all the promises they made fell through. So we didn't have to camp in our yard, they offered to pay the lodging. When it came time to pay, they were nowhere to be found. They told me throw out my mattresses, they would get us new ones.
Didn't happen. They stated they had legal representation for me so I spent a lot of time gathering documents and sending them in the mail. Never got a representative, not even a referral. I had already had an attorney and let him go.
We sold him our surfboards. We had a buyer, but this company wanted them. We lowered the price. They made one payment on the spot and never another dime.
They stole these items. We donated an item with specific directions. Those directions were not followed, no donation form, no appraisal, didn't happen on the day of the event, etc. They kept the item and registered it in their own name.
They told me to come back to the state to pick up the item. I bought plane tickets--they refused me pick up. I have an attorney. He and his attorney stated they would return the item and then disappeared--not answering my attorney.
I contacted the IRS, the FCC, the Florida Attorney General, the local police, my insurance company, etc...they all say its a civil matter!
Can somebody please read the law and enforce it! This is procurement fraud, operating for personal gain, a 2nd degree felony, theft by deception, greed and disrespect.

no, this CEO gave me his "lawyer" info to give to my lawyer months ago. my lawyer made contact and then the opposing lawyer and the CEO disappeared. We mst go to court.
