My name is Tom Sandusky and live at 740 Grove Avenue New Brighton Pa 15066. Miller Pipeline recently replaced all the lines and meters in my area. Upon doing the back street their backhoe was up against my garage and the exhaust melted some of my siding? They said they would fix it but it’s been months now and I don’t feel they have any intentions of doing so! Tried contacting the main office but would not answer the phone! Any help would be greatly appreciated,thanx for your time!

No one answered ever!!!! If they did they could not hear me!!!!! Unresolved issue!!!!!! I need to disconnect my service. Sold property!

Adjusting bill, causing a past due balance

So, Columbia Gas did call to try to resolve an issue of a supposed past due balance. Their explanation was that they readjusted the balance because the meter wasn't reading.

That's our fault? Highly preposterous! When I paid the bill for the month in question, it was paid in full. They decided to add a past due amount after I paid the bill for that month.

Furthermore, I feel like what they're trying to charge is in error because we've been using another source of heat.

What it looks like to me is that they're assuming that we used the same amount as last year and readjusting the amount. I find it ridiculous that our bill was shown as past due because of an error that was not our fault.

I feel like Columbia Gas is trying to rip us off. I had paid the bill for the past month and it was paid in full.

This month, we were charged way more than we should've been and also, it's showing that there's a past due balance that wasn't there before. I feel like they're assuming we used the same amount as last year, when that would not be the case.

Update: They're still charging more than what we actually used. They're going by weather temps and what was used year, which I find to be a huge error. I know for a fact that we used less because we've been using electric heaters as our main source of heat.

Also, I find it to be grossly unfair to show an alleged "past due" balance whenever it was their error, not ours.

I'm tempted to alert the BBB on this matter, as I've seen on other reviews that we were not the only ones who had to deal with something like this. Columbia Gas are crooks!
