Colton's RV

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Let me tell youi about Colton RV

We bought 1997 Holiday Rambler privately and dropped it off at Colton's to have them do a complete check. They came back with a list. This is no lie.BTW total estimate was around $10,000

The List:

Front Brakes Caliper- rotor & Pads $2,800 (got it done at Thread City (fantastic people thank's Don) for under $400

30A plug just the plug $160 ( fixed it for $30)

Verified LPG Ok

Fridge need upper board ( they changed it $125 ) They never changed the board board is stamped with date 1997 original)

They checked all appliances, lights etc everything OK (means that converter is working right)

Need new tires $1,925. $325 ea. ( thread city did them for $145 ea. thanks Don)

Need new Rad and oil cooler ( not true they are good as new)

They fixed the power step just needed a bit of lube going in and out just fine. never fixed pin sheared off

They brought the RV back out awaiting further approval from me.

They call a week later ask me if I have another set of keys I said no why. WE LOST YOUR KEYES

Calls me back 2 days later and tell me it will as much as $1,200 to replace all the keys. I told them that was their responsibility and they got upset.

A week later Paul calls me back saying they replaced the keys at their expense and am I getting the list of work done and oh by the way sir your converter

is dead and needs to be replaced (cost $800). I said NO the converter was working when I brought it in and how could you have checked all the items you said you checked if you had no power. i even sent them a picture of the inside of the RV just before delivery with all the lights on.

I instructed them to leave it alone don't touch it anymore I am coming to pick it up.

We took a train from Ottawa to buffalo, got to Coulton's paid our bill about $1,200 and got a very cold reception from staff and they even gave us the wrong directions to a gas station knowing the RV was completely empty but we found our way and got gas.

I have tried multiple times to reach the owner with no success. Several weeks later I get an envelope in the mail with no return address but stamped out of North Tonawanda Buffalo. The only thing in the envelope is a picture of my RV with a huge dent in the side. I rush out to check the RV there is no dent. They actually had an accident with my RV replaced the basement door and kept it under wraps. But someone in there was honest enough to let me know. Who ever you are thank you.

This list of nightmares goes on and on.

This is the real Colton's that people should know about.
