Bad workmanship
- Bought four tires from Colonial Tire and Automotive in Durham, NC.
- Soot appeared on all four wheels.
- I was told it was lubricant and would wash off.
I bought four tires from Colonial Tire and Automotive in Durham NC. I got home and noticed there was silver and black soot for a better description on all four wheels.
I called and was told it was lubricant. I got the impression from the person I talked to it was not a big deal and it would wash off. The technician who installed the tires did not have the common sense or decency or motivation to clean the wheels. I have own many cars over my many years and my wife and I have had many cars.
I have bought tires from many different companies in many towns and cities in North Carolina and other states I have lived. This is the first time I have ever seen this.
