Purchasing our first RV

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

It was not our intention to purchase one that day but to drive one to see if we felt that it would work for us. We had stopped at Scott's RV in Lakewood and spend about 45 minutes to an hour.

The receptionist was very pleasant. The salesman not too interested. We wanted to drive one but did not and left.

We went a little ways down he road to Colonial.

We were greeted warmly at the door by Bobby. He spent a considerable amount of time with us. Asked us about the intended use. Showed us two vehicles that matched what we described.

After sitting in one (which we purchased), and with his knowledge and explanation of driving it, we did not go for a drive but proceeded to buy it. The price was over $90000. David arranged all of the paperwork and explained fully the financial details. I was surprised that i could purchase such a vehicle for the amount of the monthly payments.

He also recommended a 7 year plan for full coverage to give us peace of mind. We have had it now for three months and are totally pleased with our RV and the Colonial Family. If you are considering a purchase, I would recommend Colonial Itasca Airstream to you and to my family and friends. We have since been back and have been treated as well as before we had purchased.

The Service department installed a tire Minder system and corrected a few minor issues as promised and exhibited the same level of customer respect. You can call them anytime from the road (during business hours) and they will answer any of your questions.

We are first time owners and I have called them a half dozen times to familiar myself with the RV....always getting the right answer. Consider the Mercedes Diesel...we are getting around 20 MPG for our class B Winnebago.....My wife loves to drive it and we are surprised at how comfortable it is and so easy to drive.

Biggest scam artists!!!

Bought a brand new 2014 airstream. We had nothing but problems.

We were told that it was a solid investment and that we were family. When we discussed the issues, employees there including the go and owner said it was our fault. They are rude, cons, the worst company to deal with. They don't care about customers once they got their money.

When they did the repairs under warranty, we were told that they did a favor for us! They also put words in our mouth, lied and deceived to the fullest extent. Worst experience ever!

Run away from this company.

Dealer Service Review

Snobby and pretentious.. Went to purchase unit and gm told us he wouldn't want our trade in as it would bring "that element" to their dealership. Highly offended and appalled.
