8 years ago, an excellent company. Now?

Let me start by saying that the INSTALL of this, 8 years ago, was superb. I believe this was an excellent company. HOWEVER, the REPAIR processes have been less than idea. This is currently the state of affairs, I will post an update and new score when the work is FINALLY completed... The conversation I had with Colonial today (12/23/15): Me "Hi, you guys checked out my broke down furnace on Monday, Today is Thursday,and it still isn't working, and winter will be here.. oh wait.." CHC "Oh yes, you have the extended warranty. There is paperwork that slows that process down that we are waiting on" Me "So you are saying that when I opt for the extended warranty, it is going to require extra DAYS in the winter, to get a repair done" CHC "Uh... well, there is a process..." Me "Just sayin, wasn't really one of the advertised features. What about the rust and crud from the leaking condensate? Are we going to fix that and replace the damaged parts?" CHC "Well, our records indicate that you have not had the biannual HVAC tune up done regularly as required in writing on the bottom of your warranty contract" Me "Another feature I was left unaware of. I've had it 8 years, and you've been out 4 times on repairs. Doesn't that qualify?" CHC "Well, we did repairs but not the tune up" Me "And so.. this is MY fault?" CHC "Uhh.. we have a lot of customers" Me "Amazing. How did THAT happen? " CHC "uhh.. Me "So when will my furnace be repaired" CHC "Well, it is the holidays sir, and so we are a little short staffed" Me "You're just killing yourself to make that next sale when this dies, aren't you?" CHC "uh... We will have someone out tomorrow sir" Me "Oh thank God, because you know, 4 days of winter without a furnace, any longer COULD be a problem.. Do you think your guy could at least try to figure out WHY my condensate is leaking all over and rusting my furnace" CHC "Please let the technician know when he arrives to check it?" Me "I need to notify a trained HVAC technician to check why there is a plethora of rust in places it doesn't belong?" CHC "uhh... "

They came to the house and said for me to call the next day so the could bring me a heater but it took them 3 weeks till they bring it. So I was in a cold house. The second incedent they made a appointment for the morning between 9&10am. No call or no show. Then i called them and the told me they would be out around 4&5pm. Still no show. The company called me at7:25 to say they were on their way. Next they still didn't show up and said they would be at my house Friday at 8:00 am and no show. They said they were going to come sometime after 5pm no call no show. And here it is Saturday November 15th,2014. What a company?

Getting screwed once again by heating & cooling companies.

My wife and I moved into our first house in 2009. We ended up having to replace the boiler for our radiant heat since it was too old. We looked into a couple of companies and finally choosed one. Only to find out that we were lied to in order for them to sell the product. They said that the space issue would mean that we should probobly get a tankless hot water system to mount onto the wall. well we could have used the new boiler for our hot water and our heat we found out. not only that, the company had to come out 18 times because they couldnt install it right and couldnt get it to work right. so now here we are again its over 1 year so the company that installed it isnt responsible anymore and we are having problems again. now our heater in the back 2 rooms quit so we replaced it by exstending the radient heat into the back 2 rooms. we now are having problems once again. the company that installed the exstention come out because we heard air in the lines. well they came out and said everything was fine. then here we are a month later one of the pumps blew because of air in the lines. we told them the first time that we needed an automatic air outlet put in for the exstension because that was why we were blowing pumps before. but they wouldnt listened and said everythings fine. now we have to pay another $377 for a new pump when they could of just put in an air outlet the first time and save the trouble of having to come back out again. You can't trust heating and cooling companies, or any companies. everyone is just out for your money. I am so pissed of I am ready to bring up a law suit against the first company that origionally installed it. also to refuse to pay the $377 for this second company that came out and said everything was fine when it really wasnt. between the medical bills because of our *** health insurance and these heating and cooling companies, we just might lose the house anyways. is there any help put there???

i just found out today that colonial h&c put a pump in the wrong way which is why it blew the pump.
