Collegian Movers

Granddaughter planned to move a bedroom set from Guilford to Cos Cob on top of friends mini vans. I called last minute to stop them and no calls came back to me until Collegian Movers was called and they called me right away.

They stayed within the estimate, was on time, with masks and gloves from virus that was going around.

Got it delivered safely. Very grateful that they would do this on a one day notice and so smoothly.

Arrived 3 hrs late, didnt seem to cars when I called to find out where teuck was. Lost half of the daybwaiting for them after taking a day off from work.

Ended move with an extra hour travel tine tine even though tjey were three mikes away from me, a damaged front door and threw days later no reslonse to my comlmaint.

Failures in my book.

I asked them to move my son's 1 bedroom apartment from Greenwich CT to Windsor Locks CT. Driving distance is 90 miles or around 2 hours depending on traffic.

The Good: Donovan and Ed, the truck driver and his co-driver arrived on time, worked diligently and professionally. They provided great service. They wrapped the mattress and did not break anything. The Bad: George quoted me 5 hours including driving time at $104.95 per hour for a total of $524.25.

Donovan had me signed a number of forms when he arrived, which I did rapidly because we were in a hurry to move the stuff. At the end of the move, the final invoice was no longer calculated on a flat fee per hour. They charged me for 5.75 hours of work @$90.00 per hours then added 2 hours of travel time @$90.00 per hours. I ended up paying $812.58!

The driver called George who told me that he clearly explained the charges when I contacted him for a quote and that the extra 2 hours were the travel time from their office to Greenwich and from Windsor locks back to their office. PLEASE asked for a written and detailed offer from this merchant if you want to use them

We hired a local mover in the New England area.........BBB says they were #1 but I found out they are at the bottom.

The truck the brought was too small, so they had to leave things in the house we were closing on the next day. I had to hire a friend and his truck to get thing s out.

The truck broke down and our furniture was delayed 2 days......they lost 50 pieces when they transfer to running truck and couldn't find them for a week.

No calls for help were returned. The worst moving experience I have ever had, never use these inept dolts.
