I rate 1 if I could give a zero I would. I paid my water bill in full on April 24, 2025 and they April 28th they cut it off.

Over the years I have been done wrong by this company. I have a video of another time I had no water to my property yet the meter was running charging me with their worker right there. The lady is trying to say I did not complete the call liar . Call said we got your payment you can now hang up.

I have a witness that heard the call. Next I took pics of call logs etc.

User's recommendation: My recommendation never move some where you don't have choice in water and power both. Digging a well for well water is best way to go.

I paid my water bill in full on Thursday 24, 2025 exact time 12:45 pm. Today is Monday the 28th and they come out to cut my water off.

I have proof of all calls to office personnel and to pay by phone number. That call stated I would be charged 2.45 cent charge for paying by phone. OK. I completed the entire call and call said we got your payment you may now hang up.

So, I did . Over the years I have had terrible experiences with this water company. I even shot a video with worker standing next to me no water to my property and meter running charging me. Worker called office telling them how am I being charged when I had no service to my property.

I should not have to pay 100 to reconnect. All this company did was claim I did not complete the call not true at all.

Again it said we got your payment you can now hang up. Add video another time.

User's recommendation: Don't move any where you don't have choice in water and electric both. Choice is best ways to go. I prefer water we'll. And solar

Refuse to help seniors

AI Highlights
  • - Requested due date change due to late Social Security.
  • - They can't change the due date or switch providers and want payment in advance.

I have asked them for a due date change. My social security arrives later than their due date and they keep charging a late fee.

I can't change when SS arrives. Thought it would make sense to ask the utility (CMW) to change due date; assumed they had more flexibility and cared about their senior customers. They are the only provider for water in our area and we cannot change to someone else if customer service is bad. However, they refused my request.

They claim they cannot change it and to pay ahead of time.

They don't seem to understand what limited income means despite that our bill payments help pay their salaries, etc. I was told to contact their board of directors and was basically brushed off.

User's recommendation: Report all and any problems. They over charge with late fees and reconnect fees and get away with it because they are the only provider. DON'T BE SILENT.

  • - Auto pay failed after billing system change; at cutoff the office refused payment and ordered service cut off, while the bill rose from $70 to $250.

I have had auto pay for some years now. But before that always paid on time.

When they changed billing system my auto payment was not accepted because my number had been changed. I understand that. But the morning the guy came to cut it off I was right there with card in hand. He called office and she would not take my payment and told him to turn it off.

I find that unacceptable since I have been a costumer for almost 30 yrs of service. And think it is totally outrageous to charge for him to charge that much. And on top of that. My water Bill always around 70.

Its just me and husband SSI. And when I bill it said it was 250.

Now where dose that come from. Unheard of

Price Gouging by a Utility Company

AI Highlights
  • - Dropped payment in night box at 8:13 am; office opens 8:30.
  • - Disconnection at 10:30 am after a $199.97 bill; $100 demanded.
  • - There was rude behavior.

I placed my payment for my water bill in the night drop box at 8:13 am. The office opens at 8:30 am.

The reader came out to turn my water off at 10:30 am. They called me and told me I had to pay $100.00 or they would come out and turn my water off - after paying a $199.97 bill. Tara, the lady from the water company was rude. Basically they bullied me.

The going rate for disconnection fee is $35.00. I had already been assessed a late fee of $15.00. This is highway robbery all because they are the only water source we have in this neighborhood.

I was told this was on the bill about the 8 am cutoff but I could not find that reference. I would like to have the $100.00 back.
