Need help!!

Furniture totally destroyed and missing. Did not send enough movers and ruined heirloom furniture that cannot be replaced. Have called both local franchise and corporate office unsuccessfully to resolve issues.

Damaged and broken furniture during move

Damaged furniture and no return calls from ANYONE regarding our issues. They only sent one small truck to move us from two very large storage units after telling us and quoting us for two large trucks with twice the number of men. The move took 12 hours. We actually felt sorry for the guys they sent and my husband and I repeatedly tried unsuccessfully on moving day to get in touch with their boss, who was in the office. He returned their calls only to say he couldnt find anyone else to help. My heirloom dining room table, two chests were scratched all over and the legs were broken and a dining room chair totally disappeared (cannot be replaced), our king size Stearns and Foster mattress was torn, and our furniture was just initially thrown in our storage unit when we they initially moved everything in (a different crew). I only knew this because it was explained to me by the lead guy on the day they were moving our things out of our storage units into our new home. In addition, several pieces were left in a storage unit for us to move out ourselves (which well have to hire additional people to do). Weve called the local franchise that we initially dealt with and who were more than happy to help us when we were hiring them to use their services. Weve also spoken to a lady in their corporate office and assured that she would have someone call us right back. Unfortunately, my husband didnt write her name down however theyve never gotten back to us! Ive called and called and not gotten ANY HELP!! I would like a response from someone from someone in the corporate office and do not send me a pre written response apologizing or an email consisting of the same response. I would hope that youd have a representative call to begin the resolution process. Thank you.

Complaint

College Hunks showed up on a Sunday and took everything but, a treadmill, large tv and big dollhouse. The guys said they would be back the next day it is now Friday and no call and no pickup. We complained with a phone call at least 4 times and was told repeatedly someone would call and/or someone would come pick up the remaining items. Nothings has happened to date. Very bad business to operate like this and they will never get a referral or any business from me again. I am a local real estate agent trying to assist a seller in her move and this is bad business. I will never use this company again.

User's recommendation: Don't use College Hunks there is no customer service to get ahold of and noone calls you back.

Dissatisfied Consumer

Hi Omar and Nick My name is Kelley Williamson with the move order under Jerry Casados and Job ID 567****. I was quoted 6.5 hours, 2 trucks and 6 men for our move and the move took over 11 hours. We were estimated a charge of $3449.00 and ended up having to pay $5419.38. I have left messages at your headquarters and have not received a phone call back. I finally was given Annette Martinez's cell phone number and I have been calling her regularly and leaving text messages. She said that she would talk to the owners in Colorado (Santa Fe) office and make things right, but she has since not returned my phone calls. I have left messages for the owners to call me, and my next step is to go to the office until they make things right. Having an estimator that is incorrect is not my issue and truthfully if we had known the issues that we would have we would have chosen a different company. I saw your company on Undercover Boss, and I am sure that this is not the way you want your customers treated. Please contact me at xxx or have someone contact me to get this taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you.

Damaged bed

They wont accept that they damaged my bed and taking apart something that was not supposed not to be taken apart. My power platform is not supposed to be taken apart that it folds up so you can carried out. They refuse to take responsibility to their crew did did.

Disastrous Moving Day- 11/18/21

Very unprofessional just get get me started. I had a very unpleasant situation regarding the moving of my handmade Baldwin piano. In a nutshell, they told me they would have to saw the legs off my piano to get through the door. I assured them that the legs come off easily. I was not on site as this took place at my ex-wifes home. I am a pianist, not a piano mover. Therefore, I do not have the knowledge on how they are removed so I leave that to the experts. There is way more to this story and would prefer to explain this via telephone. To say the least, I, my ex-wife, and my youngest son were disrespected in the home with swearing occurred and calling me names. Please call me immediately at 281-763-**** to discuss this further. There is an open invoice that I refuse to pay at this point. Sincerely, Alan Schaake

Destroyed heirloom grandfather clock

Payed almost 500 dollars to have 4 pieces of furniture moved and 2 boxes. Was assured their was no problem moving clock and we used company prior. By the time it got to me from my deceased father's apt to mine. Clock was DESTROYED. Glass broken, wheel caught in corner of door so unable to open door they also lost the crank. Not responding to my calls to resolve this issue. Very angry

College hunk movers and Scarlett dornbrook to expensive rip offs

we were charged outrageously when the college hunks moved us earlier last year.. i seen the company on one of those shows and another lady from my son's school told me they were an easy company to do business with. not quite!!! this place is a complete joke on price and sure the guys are friendly but they are not really moving professionals. the owner is scarlett dornbrook and i know she doesn't care as long as the extremely high bill gets paid. we live in a bigger home and yes we have tons of stuff that was packed up and ready to move. the guys were surprised when they seen how much stuff we had but they didnt seem like it really mattered that much.they already knew about all of the stuff we had because they asked me about it before they even showed up. those are just common questions i'm sure, right?

Moving Deception

The service included a move from my prior residence to my current residence. The workers (Anthony and Connor) were assigned by their manager Casey to complete move. They were courteous and highly conversant. However, when it came to close of the move, they were highly deceptive. The contract was signed with an unofficial inspection done on my part as the company expects an "official walk-through". Not sure what that means when the employees are required to ask and in this case, they didn't. During the move they were advised several times to cover my box spring and mattress- only the mattress was covered. Even as reminded, Anthony showed dismay and frustration with the constant reminders. My box spring was completely destroyed with holes and covered up with my mattress in a way that the damages would not be humanly visible unless the mattress and other piece of furniture was physically moved. My coach was also destroyed underneath. They improperly put the coach back together (it's wobbling) and put holes in it with a destroyed electrical wire that's for the recliner. I have a bent up lamp and dented with other dented, scratched and scuffed pieces of furniture. Not only was their insurance agent uncooperative in resolving the issue in a professional manner (Amanda was condescending and rude), she wanted me to agree to ONLY a box spring replacement that was non-branded and incomparable to the box spring I had and also gave me a difficult time when I simply request the name of the company she was sending to my residence and receiving the box spring from. I provided pictures, called and emailed the entire company numerous times. Because they are a franchise, the corporate office could not assist me. Something needs to be done, please! It has to be illegal for a company to operate in such a manner.

I am with the College Hunks Corporate Headquarters and we are working with this client for an amicable resolution. The Franchisee has been contacted and I have personally spoken with this client.

I believe we have resolved the issue satisfactorily on both sides. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction here at College Hunks and although we have the occasional incident, we always look for a quick and fair way to make all parties happy.
