Great service and product

I have been purchasing coins from CollecTons for more than five years. I have never had a problem and get everything in the condition that was advertised. I have tried other sites, but those always led to problems. I will only buy my coins from CollecTons.com. Great job CollecTons!

The only problem is trying to submit this review. They insist on 80 words. I don't need 80 words to say what I needed to say so I'll repeat myself - I have been purchasing coins from CollecTons for more than five years. I have never had a problem and get everything in the condition that was advertised. I have tried other sites, but those always led to problems. I will only buy my coins from CollecTons.com. Great job CollecTons!

Collectons . . . a great place to buy from!

I have been purchasing currency, coins and collecting supplies from CollecTons for the past two years. I have placed dozens of orders with them and purchased hundreds of items; sometimes small orders and sometimes large ones. I have never received the wrong item nor have I ever been billed extra for postage.

Additionally, when I did have questions and needed to contact the company by phone, the staff was always very polite and extremely helpful. Furthermore, every order I have placed has been shipped within a day or two and arrives in great condition do to their good packaging practices.

I would recommend CollecTons to anyone who is looking for a sound and reliable source for collectables.

They sent me wrong item and wanted me to pay to correct their mistake

CollecTons Sucks!!! Company out of Boulder, Colorado doing business at www.collectons.com.

They shipped to me an item different than the one I ordered. When I called them they said it was probably out of "old stock." It was not the item that I purchased and differed from the one pictured on their website. Nevertheless, they refused to refund my shipping cost if i wanted to return it and if I wanted to exchange it for the correct item I would have to pay to return it to them to fix their mistake.

COMPANY SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS WITH THIS POOR LEVEL OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!! BUY ELSEWHERE!

Customer received exactly what was ordered. He was not happy when he received it. We offered to replace or refund but he was not happy with that either. Customer used vulgarity with our customer service team and customer service manager. We had to block him from calling us.

Charged additional shipping and poor customer service.

Business used improper shipping methods and charged customer postage due after already paying a fix shipping cost. Employee Joel was rude.Poor service I ordered from CollecTons.com and I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service that was provided to me by "Joel".

I ordered several items and paid $6.79 for order #W00075753 and $6.79 for order #370469****09 for a total of $13.58 in shipping costs. When I received order #W00075753 I was charged postage due of $3.85 in addition of the $6.79 originally paid. When I notified Joel (1/19/11) he stated he would look into it and contact me back the next day. I had to contact Joel again on 1/24/11 and he then stated that was a mistake with the post office and that I needed to take it up with them.

I told him that I already paid for shipping and that the postage due was not my fault. He refused to help me and again forwarded me to the USPS. When I called USPS they advised that this is a common issue where shippers attempt to bypass shipping costs as the coin holders were placed into a box and then into a document envelope to allow for cheaper shipping costs. I then contacted Joel back where he stated that he would contact management about the issue and get back to me again.

I was then later contacted by Joel and he stated he would refund the postage due of $3.85 through paypal this time only and that next time I must refuse the package shipped if there is postage due from the USPS in the future. I was so frustrated and upset that this "simple" issue of $3.85 took five (5) telephone calls and so long to get resolved, that I informed him that I was upset and that this was the last time I would order from the company and I would tell everyone I know of the negative treatment I received.

He then advised me to "Have a nice day!" After I sent this message I was officially blocked from further purchases from CollecTons on ebay and Joel will not give his supervisor/owner's information. CollecTons displayed very poor business practices and extremely poor customer service.

They blocked you - that's funny. You said you weren't going to buy from them again anyway so why do you care?

Been doing business with Collectons for a long time have had several problems and they fix the problem right away. I have spoken with joel he seems to be a nice guy and listens when you speak to him.

maybe you were a bit overzelous in you manner Bobcatgreene, if someone shouts at me I have a tendency to tune them out and let them rant and when they calm down i help them. Gee $3.85 is not that big a deal to get upset about.

I have been up charged by the post office by one employee and not by another for the very same packaging. When you do your postage online you are charged less and when i have taken it to the PO to drop it off some employees want to charge me the PO counter price.

Hi,

Not sure if this is helpful to you, but USPS might be your problem. (Aside from the poor customer service received from the seller.) I, too, am a seller on eBay, and recently shipped out a flat-rate envelope, postage paid, and additional postage was due at time of delivery. My local post office saw NO problem with the package at time of pick-up, so how could it be that the post ofice in San Leandro, CA is able to collect additional postage?! Printed on flat-rate envelope "ANY AMOUNT OF MAILABLE MATERIAL MAY BE ENCLOSED, AS LONG AS THE ENVELOPE IS NOT MODIFIED, AND THE CONTENTS ARE ENTIRELY CONFINED WITHIN THE ENVELOPE WITH THE ADHESIVE PROVIDED AS THE MEANS OF CLOSURE." There is also additional info on the USPS website stating tape may be applied to the package for reinforcement. Don't want to go into lengthy detail about that, but check it out. I have filed a complaint, but I have found the level of customer service at USPS p*ss poor at best. The only competent people I have found are at my local post office. They are friendly, and do their very best to help.

I did refund the additional postage cost to my buyer, but I believe once a package is accepted, NO ADDITIONAL shipping costs should be allowed.

Thanks for listening,

Ursula
