Absolutely Horrific in almost every way.
- - Hot water is intermittent and often cold.
- - Vermin infestations and cockroaches are documented.
- - Staff are often incompetent and disrespectful; complaints get no action.
You have a ton af glitches in your system; which makes it impossible to be more detailed, thorough, and complete.
Last I checked - Hospitals are supposed to have Hot Water, 24/7.
Not to mention that Coler "Hospital" is far more of a Cockroach Nest than a "Hospital". They're literally everywhere in the facility - and one can easily find themselves killing 5 to 10 Cockroaches per day - IF they have the physical ability to do-so.
There is also a documented repetitive, patterned history of vermin infestation throughout the facility.
The Staff - with some rare and even outstanding exceptions - from top to bottom, are far more incompetent, disrespectful, and unprofessional than any that I have ever witnessed anywhere, over the course of my entire life. And this unnecessary dynamic is as blatant, as it is constant.
Generally speakng, Coler Hospital is nothing more than a Human Warehouse whose residents - for the most part, and on its best days - are treated like slabs of beef.
And if one files any internal complaints, relative to any of the above - the excuses, stonewalling, wagon-circling, and turnaround games are thrown right back at you, and nothing is ever done to fix any of the problems.
Ever.
Protecting one's own job is apparently the Number 1 Priority of mid to upper-level Management at Coler Hospital.
And the general public rarely hears the slighrest negative report on the facility, because 99.5% of the resident patients are physically and/or mentally unable to meet that task.
The only bright spot within the Hospital is the Security Team - whose level of integrity and professionalism should be an example to everyone.
Overall - as I am barely scratching the surface, here - the verdict is that Coler Hospital on Roosevelt Island is So Horrifically Bad, that it's far beyond repair or redemption and should go the way of its next door neighbor, and be gradually closed - ultimately to be repurposed as condominiums.
The sooner - the better. For all concerned - and before a major catastrophe occurs as a direct result of their incompetent and painful existence.
Preferred solution: Wholesale changes: Both Cultural and Systemic.
