Coleman Furniture - Total Chaos
This is a follow up to my previous post about buying two Ashley Furniture end tables from Coleman Furniture, both of which arrived without a shelf and shelf supports and bent hinges on one which prevented the door from opening. After waiting about 3 months for replacement parts (I guess shipped on a slow boat from China), the package arrived. The missing shelves were there, but only 2 of 8 shelf supports so the shelves could not be installed. But the real topper is that the wrong door hinges were sent. In the first place the hinges would not work. Second, the hinge holes were too close to the edge of the door and the screws would have cracked the door before piercing the finished opposite exterior side. They were too long. So after 3 months, nothing has really improved. The replacement parts shipped directly from Ashley. I don’t know if Coleman gave them wrong information about the model number or if Ashley made a mistake. Coleman had correct information from me and I was their customer. To me the burden is on them to ensure the correct parts are sent and in a timely manner. Surely this is not the first time parts have been missing.

Horrible, Horrible experience with Coleman/Renegade Furniture. On 2/28/2018 I ordered a leather power reclining sofa, loveseat and chair. The chair was delivered defective. I contacted Coleman/Renegade Furniture the same day to let them know the chair was defective and I requested to either return the chair or get a replacement. Even though I contacted them with a couple hours of delivery, Jamie Jackson, account manager they said there was nothing the could do and I would have to go through warranty. They first told me through email that they would ship me a new frame/mechanism for the chair. Then they changed that through another email from a Camille Dixon. She said they would refund me $200 but I would have to find my own furniture technician to fix the chair. I should not have to fix a brand new chair that I never used. $200 wouldn’t begin to cover the costs and I could not find anyone within 2 hours of me to fix the chair! I even contacted Leather Italia USA about the matter and they also did nothing for me. I went to do a chargeback on just the price of the chair and Camille Dixon sent me a threatening email stating that if pursued the chargeback on the chair I would no longer have warranty on any of my furniture. The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. As a customer, you would be better off purchasing the furniture from a local store or another online seller. Coleman/Renegade Furniture and Leather Italia USA do not stand behind the products they sell. Coleman/Renegade Furniture has very bad ratings. Just do a search for yourself before you purchase.

I received my sectional sofa several months ago and when the delivery men had put it together, we noticed the cushions were too short. There was a 3 inch gap between the seat cushions. I called Coleman Furniture immediately and was told to keep the sofa and they would replace them which was good enough for me as I had their word. A couple of weeks had past and finally I recieved my new cushions... They DID NOT FIT, once again! They sent me pieces of foam and a dirty cushion cover that I had to assemble myself. The foam was nearly 2 inches thinner than the original meaning they did not fit at all. The foam was not enough to fill the seat cover making it look ridiculous. I called them very upset and I was told they would fix it once again. I waited several more weeks and finally received a second set of cushions. Would you believe they sent me the same cushions as before... 2 inches too thin? Not really sure how a company can mess up this many times. The crazy part, I was told after the first mistake on the cushions that it would be resolved. Lori from Coleman furniture couldn't believe I had to assemble this myself and promised me she would rectify this immediately. The second set of cushions that came were pieces of foam... Dirty cushions and the zippers were all broken on each cushion. I am speechless! now I am waiting on my 3rd set of cushions. I am unsure if they will arrive because I am now being ignored. I have sent numerous emails and left numerous voicemails with no reply. After they messed up first time around, I asked what the return policy was. I was told that I was not eligible because I did not return my item within 5 days of receiving it. Let me start by saying this, I was told to keep the sofa by the account manager when the delivery men were still in my house and she would fix it immediately. Did I also mention that if I decided at that point that k did want to send the fault sofa back, I would be liable for shipping costs??? Wth?? This is what I was told by the Manager at Coleman furniture. So it doesn't matter if you recieved your sofa damaged, if you want to send it back, you will need to pay for that. Shocking. I am no further forward with this company. Terrible customer service and should be investigated.

Order large dining set w/ Buffett and Hutch they processed credit card immediately and after 2 months we were notified of a delivery date only to receive a call a few days later that several items were Danton shipping and replacements were being shipped and a new delivery date would be set when repairs or replacements were done. 3 weeks past and got call for delivery at 7:30 at night. During delivery the delivery men broke large glass shelf to hutch. We let them finish the delivery and was told new shelf would come. It was late and lightning wasn’t that good at night. We signed receipt for delivery only to find the next morning when sunlight came through our dining room that one end of dining table had been damayand someone had done a poor attempt of repair (see attached photos) now Coleman is saying we signed it’s our. We paid over $5300 for g damaged goods and no response from Coleman Furniture. Don’t buy from them

Missing parts

Furniture was delivered but was missing parts. Delivery people made note of missing parts but I called customer service to inquire about when we would receive the parts. I spoke to a very nice gentleman who then transferred me to an account manager who was not customer service friendly, unapologetic and, and unaccommodating. Their site says customer satsisfaction is their priority but that cannot be true. I have no idea when my parts will come. Not a positive experience.

Don’t Buy From Coleman

I ordered a sectional on 11/22/18. I read clearly on their website and took a picture of their delivery timeframe. I should have received my couches within 2-4 weeks, as they state. Second time I contact them, they said that Ashley furniture is not sending out my couches until 1/9/2019, and I wouldn’t receive them until end of January! After reading all the BBB complaints and reviews, I’m upset I didn’t check their history before ordering.

PLEASE I am warning you, DO NOT order from this company. I ordered a bed from them and it's been over 2 months and I have not received the merchandise. Now, they have told me that it has been damaged AGAIN, so it will take another month. It's NO trying to please the customer or offer anything for such an inconvenience. I've asked to cancel the purchase but I has told that they will change me a Cancellation fee: $115.80.....I AM SO DISAPPOINTED. This should not be acceptable!!! I am warning you

Damage: I have purchased a black sectional couch CM6982-SECTIONAL Gatria II Black Reclining Sectional With Console $1794.00 including two recliners with the warranty. I had called Guardian and I had explain to them what had happen with my sectional. They had informed me to contact you renegade/Coleman furniture, because its still under factory warranty including two recliners. Both recliners have defected metal underneath and do not close. Once we opened the recliner to sit and watch a movie they no longer push in the metal is in the way of closing the chair. It looks like the metal that push back into the recliner is bent/damage on both recliners, Also on one recliner the whole back leather seam in the back of the chair part that you youtr butt sit in is completely apart, where the white inside is sticking out. When u sit on the recliner you can feel the wood sticking in your back. I was satisfied with my purchase then realized it was not made very well. I have a five year warranty and would like a replacement or something done to fix these problems. I had already called the warranty department and they told me that the warranty on my sectional does not start because it falls under the factory warranty and when we contacted the company they told us that The manufacturer has advised that these issues fall under normal wear and tear. I apologize, as they have stated they cannot assist further. We place the order may 25,2017 and it took a month for us to receive our sectional and they delivered it on time, after a few month the sectional started falling a part and we followed all the steps to resolve this matter. I had already contact my lawyer to see what can be done by this company. I was told that they had multiple complaints and they switch there name from Renegade furniture Store to Colemans furniture. I had been in contact with the store via email and Save all the emails. The person that been assistant us is Camille Dixon Pre- DeliveryAccount Manager Renegade Furniture 516-345-**** now we are fieling this complaint with you bbb to resolve this matter Buyers beware of the warranty and scam coming from the company

Yeah they are not liable because I signed the delivery ticket but " out of courtesy they will give me $200 to get the piece which was delivered damaged. I'm not liable because I sang Two Tickets and the warranty company won't cover any damages because it was delivered damaged now which is it?

I purchased a dining room set with a beautiful marble table. The marble is cracked in 3 places and was told it was a natural defect in marble and manufacturer can not replace.

They will allow me $150.00 after an almost $2,000 dollar repair is done. Yes, Camille is a real sweetheart :(

Never again

I placed the order for my sofa set September 3rd. The email I received said most orders are delivered in 2-4 weeks, so I figured I would have it way before the holidays. Two weeks after placing my order, on Sept. 17th, I received an email stating it would be 8-9 weeks before my furniture would be delivered. Unbelievable. If I had known it would take that long I would never have ordered from this company. It is Nov. 26th now and I have not received a thing. I called and they sent me a number to contact the third party delivery company. Call the delivery company and it turns out they have had my sofa since the 7th of November. I never received a call or anything about it. The delivery company still doesn't expect to deliver until next week, so it will have been 13 weeks since I placed my order. Hopefully. If it ever arrives. I will never order from this company again and I suggest you don't either unless you want to wait months for it to arrive.

horrible beyond horrible services lack of communications company fails to inform you about fees order could take months and months! yet they still rob you with a restocking fee.... rude i cannot even begin to express how pissed i am with their horrible service you have a hard time getting responses form them weather it is by phone or email it could take days before you hear back if you cancel your order they will cancel for you take up to 2 weeks to issue you a refund to the point where you might have to dispute with your credit card company ....... horrible service please do not make the mistake of making a purchase!!

They are lying! I received a delivery date also they a call on the date before delivery stating the bed was damaged and they have to reorder it!

LIARS!!!!! All they do is lie. They’re running a business making money off of your 15% restocking fee once you cancel the order they don’t have in stock! Great way to steal from the public!

Corporate Theif!!! Thieves will be exposed even if it takes my last breath I’m not going down without a fight!!

We placed an order for a section sofa for our new home. Upon Delivery we were asked to sit on the sofa and give it a final inspection. When we sat down on the furniture, there was a crack in the wooden base and we sank halfway to the floor. (We are your average sized adults, weighing less than 200#s). Upon further investigation and inspection we found that the base board that framed the sofa was warped and had a round edge at the top of the base that would be perpendicular to where you would be sitting. This explains why the sofa sank halfway to the floor when sitting on it. The deliver driver said we would sign the final inspection paperwork anyways because it was not a delivery driver error - they didn't break it - which was true. We called Coleman Furniture immediately, as the delivery drivers were pulling out of the driveway, and Coleman Furniture took a firm stance that it wasn't a manufacturer error. It wasn't even in our house for 5 minutes! And we were not rough on the furniture - if you cannot sit down on a sofa, that defeats the purpose of the product!! We have sent numerous pictures, dozens of emails, and had multiple calls....it is 8 weeks later and they still have not resolved the issue. Two weeks ago they agreed to order a replacement piece for the section, but will not provide an ETA. I have a feeling they are going to take an extended period of time to resolve until they reach a timeframe they can say it's been too far past the delivery date to resolve. So now we have a $1000 sectional sofa in our living room that we cannot use and can't really sell because it is broken! Needless to say - Their furniture is not made with true quality. They do not back their products to replace them if they are broken. Their service team is quick to blame the customer for a defective product to try to pass on the issue as "Your Problem". Do not order from them.

Ordered a dining room set! Received the table and bench and two chairs 2 months after placing my order! Did not receive the other 2 chairs! After another two months we finally received the other 2 chairs! Customer service could care less! We were told Coleman’s sent them to us as fast as they could! Four months to get a complete set of furniture! RIDICULOUS!!!!! Don’t order from Coleman’s unless you’re willing to wait 4 months to receive your furniture! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!!

We ordered a $1K pedestal table during our renovation; delivered and stored by our GC. When the table was delivered and set up, there was a "How to care for" sheet. Because it indicated gentle care should be taken, we covered it with a sheet until all other items were in place. when we removed the sheet, dust had gone through the fabric and that when removed ut caused slight scratch marks. We then covered it with a table cloth and found that moving anything on top of the table cloth also tranferred to the top and caused a scratch. We followed all directions....got paste wax that was suggested as well as cleaning polish suggested. Anything that touched the table scratched it....despite being covered. I reported this, responded to all requestss, sent photos, etc., and was told damage was caused by us dropping things on the table. The Warranty Company Guardian would not respond, despite their 5-year committment. WE HAVE HAD A PROFESSIONAL LOOK AT THE TABLE AND WERE TOLD THE FINAL FINISHING STEPS HAD NOT BEEN COMPLETED ON THE TABLE TOP

The delivery company didn’t assemble anything and when I called customer service they said it was my fault. The driver lied and said I declined the service. That is the only reason why I ordered from there was for the assembly. I also found the free delivery they talk about is *** the delivery fee is included in the price. When I tried to return the item they said I would have to pay $800 ate yoy serious
