Verified Reviewer |Dishonest, untrusthworthy and unreliable
- - Dishonest service and installation of a 10k unit.
- - UV light box under tubing prevented replacement.
- - Drainage overflow bubbled up through the floor.
Dishonest, untrustworthy, downright liars. Horrible service.
Our unit was installed incorrectly. The UV light box panel was placed underneath the big white tubing. That meant the UV light could never be switched out, from day one.
The way the drainage system was set up, if it got slightly clogged it overflowed. That could have happened numerous times before Luis came out and unclogged it. It only could have drained down into our floor and then into the flooring. Because when the water did start coming out, it bubbled up out of the floorboard and flooring, not from the front of the unit or even outside the closet so we would have known.
Both those were the companies fault, regardless of anything we did after the unit was installed. And you have records to show who put it in, and who signed off on it when it was first put in. There is nothing that makes this the customer responsibility to check how licensed technicians installed a $10,000 unit.
But what put us over the top was when we finally had the flooding when our floor bubbled and separated, still wet - Luis came out, unclogged it, my husband specifically went over the design with him and he guaranteed us that is just how they are installed. We told him we were worried it would happen again. But rather than show any interest in the damage, he went in the backyard, and completely took apart our air conditioning unit and tell us the problem would cost $800.00 but he might have the part in the truck and give us a $400 discount was crazy. We told him to put it back together and pack up.
I complained about that situation more than one time.
When you finally got the message about the flooring, six months later you did send a company out immediately to dry it out. But, we had done that on our own expense and watched the floors settle back in.
We have a very nice house. Our flooring happens to match entirely downstairs.
To this logged and documented complaint, with all documentation needed, plus pictures of the damage, we have been told it is our fault and to call our insurance company.
Besides the deliberate fraud, dishonesty, and our due diligence this problem took over a year to fix, and only when one tech came out and finally admitted he could not fix it without it going to their install department. To prove they did it wrong, they did send an installer out who had to redo the entire unit.
So where in that saga, does it become the customer's obligation to fix the damaged floor from and improper install of a $10,000 unit.
- Trying to be scammed
- Being told we need an 800 part
- Being lied too

Scamming property owners claiming you made an appointment
- - Persistent calls from Cole Services about an appointment I didn't make.
- - They threatened charges and the manager allegedly lied; avoid this company.
SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM
I have never , ever used this company what so ever, yet I have been receiving calls from them all day long telling me that I set up an appointment with them for service on my A/C system. After telling three of the callers from Cole Services that I did NOT make any appointment with them AND to stop calling, they continued to push.
Then they tried telling me that they spoke to my wife, which was a complete LIE! After leaving 5 more messages on my machine, the last one threatening me that "I spoke to you this morning and you promised to the terms of the appointment so you are liable for the service call time"... I blew up, called them AGAIN and demanded to speak to a manager. The manager, as it turns out, was the liar on the answering machine that was threatening me with service charges!
This "company" is a SCAM!!! Do not do ANY business with them as they are scam artists and nothing more.
I have used the same plumbing and heating company for 20yrs (JACOT Plumbing) and have NEVER had anything but perfect and fair priced service, why would I call someone else??? SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!
They cause major damage behind my walls
- - Took 2 trips; reinstall was wrong, causing water/sewage damage.
- - They admitted fault after photos; drywall repair done, no repaint or refund.
It took 2 trips to fix my toilet. The didn't re-install it correctly allowing water & sewage to spill onto the drywall underneath toilet.
After several months, my ceiling in dining room started to bubble and leak water. The water moved along the joyce and caused major damage behind the walls. I called Cole and after weeks of discussion, sending photos, writing letters and emails, they agreed that they were at fault. I asked them to repair damage and refund my money.
The repaired the drywall but never came back to repaint. And they never refunded me, as we had agreed upon.
They provided terrible service and didn't fix my home after being responsible for hundreds of dollars worth of damage.
I'm very disappointed with this company and would NEVER use them again or refer them to anyone.
Price Gouging
- - Cole Services in Garden Grove repaired a pipe burst.
- - Three employees; two did the work, one sold.
- - Charged $3,857; time under 3 hours; no itemized bill.
My wife and I hired Cole Services in Garden Grove, CA to repair a broken pipe that burst by our water meter because of pressure from a tree root. There were three employees, two did the work and one the selling of the job.
It took almost three hours but less than three hours and the pipe was was a few feet long. We were charged $3,857. I calculate 3 workers x 3 hours x $100 hour = $900 + a pipe $100= $1000. WE OVERPAID AROUND $2,857 .
Use them if you want to be overcharged.
They refuce to give us an itemized bill of parts and labor.
Cole's Big Scam
- - Contract: $21.95/mo for two tune-ups and annual plumbing.
- - Billing has run 2-3 charges per month since Nov 2011 and cancellation is difficult.
I filed a complaint w/BBB and this was Cole\'s response \"We had a software problem with our credit card processing which was occasionally putting a credit card charge through twice although it was invisible on our end (the software did not tell us there were 2 charges)\" Can you believe this bull ***? They charged my credit card twice per month for 5 months and in Jan.
they charged it 3 times.
They do not want to refund my money and I am supposed to be greatful that they are not charging me the full year when nowhere in the contract does it state that I was under contract. I wonder how many more customers are being charged and haven\'t noticed.., I will have to take them to small claims court
Cole Services (Heating/AC/Plumbing) offers a 21.95 p/mo contract to give your central air/heating unit a tune up twice per year and 1 annual plumbing maintenance. The contract states that the homeowner will receive discounts (yeah, right).
First service was an excellent so I signed the contract. They have been charging my credit card 2 -3 times p/mo since Nov '11. Since I have paperless statements I failed to catch the scam until I called for the second visit and I got the worst service ever. I tried cancelling the contract & they gave me the run around.
Let see how decent they are and if they check the last 6 months of '11 and send me a check!! I'll keep posting on all the sites until I get my money back!

They get commission. They will give you SELL PITCH presentation and pull CUSTOMER IN the product. This company is very unethical.
They will give you fault information about your “dirty†“aged†“neglected“ “designed fault “to the clueless home owner.
