Verified Reviewer |I bought $980 worth of Bitcoins. They show up in my account as completed. I have tried everything to get the Bitcoibs put into the amountbof Bitcoins available to send so I can send them out.

Verified ReviewerResolved: Employee didn't reach out to us regarding our pending transaction.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Emailed the company and received a gift card within 3 days. I am happy with the resolution.
Unfortunately the machine glitches and we couldn't continue. The manager wasn't on the floor that day, and the other employees couldn't get it working, or didnt have the appropriate keys. We had to wait over the weekend to get the transaction completed. Issue being we did not want cash, we wanted an Amazon gift card so we wouldn't have to pay their % fee.
The manager of the store called us and told us the Coinstar employee who would come and fix the machine would reach out to us, but they never did. They just assumed we wanted to take out all those coins in cash. We didn't, we wanted a gift card to avoid their fees, but they didn't reach out to us until all was said and done with a receipt for a cash exchange. It was alot of coins, and due to their fees, we're out nearly $100.
Understandably, the manager of the market can only do so much, but wasnt it saved into the kiosk when we elected the gift card option?
It stings, from their machine glitching up, to their employee who fixed their kiosk assuming we wanted cash without anyone reaching out to us in the process. If I knew I'd be out $100 by default I wouldn't have bothered using their kiosk.
Preferred solution: Gift card equalling what was spent on their excessive processing fee, which I originally opted out of

Hello, I need assisitance please concerning one of your machines. On 11/12/2023 at approximately 9:20 am, I used the coinstar machine located at 1300 S.
Watson Rd in Buckeye, AZ. I had quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. I chose to use it because I had already counted $20 in quarters at home and I had an almoste filled vase of them (along w/ nickels and dimes). Pennies were from a separate vase.
I started pouring my money in, but nothing was happening; nothing was being counted. I was at my halfway mark with the silver coins when the machine stopped and had an error. Customer service stated it was the second time that day it went down. I told her the machine hadn't counted anything yet and she said wait until she restarted it to see what it did.
When she restarted it, I poured my remaining coins, but was shocked when it only showed $46.84 as my total! It only counted the end pour. The representative standing (katrins) there told me that something was definitely wrong with the machine and I should call them (Coin star) immediately. I called and received incident #349602 at 10:28am.
I was told to wait 30 days.
I called this weekend and the first rep told me I was approved for the refund and to hold on. Of course I was disconnected. The second call was to a female that said I was approved at first and then disapproved and I asked why and she stated "because you were". I asked for a supervisor and was told first there isn't one and then when I persisted, was told she's on the line.
I asked for a number or email and after being denied I said I would handle it another way.
Bottom line, I know I should've had at least $80 dollars total (not including pennies). I had two vases in which I kept the money. The first was 10"H x 5.5"D. That held the silver coins, but was not filled to the top (just 3 quarters of the way).
The second vase was 9"x12" with pennies and was filled. You don't have where I can attach pictures.
How do I get the money I counted.
This may seem insignificant to those reps hwo handled my call, but it was hard earned money and your machine failed (miserably I might add).
I'm not a con-artist nor a liar. I'm an employed citizen making every dollar count and am not pleased when it's taken from me.
Can you help me please?

Verified Reviewer |Awful Customer Service
Was using a Coinstar kiosk that errored out. The message said contact a Safeway store manager which I did, but the manager did not know how to help resolve the issue.
The issue resolution was on the screen, but required a key and PIN which the store manager did not know where or what it was. Contacted the CoinStar customer service department...long wait time on hold, only to be immediately hung up on. Called back and waited again, eventually got an agent on the line. Explained the situation to them, but they couldn't understand the issue.
I explained several times and politely answered her questions. She didn't know what to do, so she just hung up on me. Not sure how Coinstar is going to stay in business if this is how they deal with issues.
Just wanted to leave my information so once they serviced the machine and discovered the discrepancy, then I could get my $ back. That is apparently too complicated for this company.

Verified ReviewerMachine Malfunction/Loss of Coin Value
The Coinstar at my local Kroger jammed up three times. The last time, there were not many coins in the machine, leading me to believe that the machine has more problems than frequent jams from too many coins.
It also sounded like there were coins in the machine when it started up the first time.
Upon the second malfunction, my e-card selection (amazon gift card) was converted to cash value. I lost $7.09 in that conversion.
When it jammed the last time, I left about $3.00 in the machine - I didn't want to bother the store associates again and it was starting not to be worth my time.
I have used Coinstar in the past - this is my first time with problems. I have pictures if you want to see.
I am seeking some kind of refund, and if nothing else, wanted to let you know that machine needs some maintenance.

My voucher says it's invalid
Preferred solution: Full refund
Coinstar stole our money, from a little girl emptying her piggybank.
We took my young daughter's coins in to coinstar. We poured themn into the machine as directed.
It printed out a voucher, which we are supposed to take to the cashier in the store, which we did. Every cashier that scanned the code said the code was coming up as invalid. We called the customer service number on the voucher, no one answered from coinstar, the call rang and rang and then dropped. Hours later, we we called the number again repeatedly.
We were put on automated hold each time for prolonged period of time.
So, coinstar just stole money from a young girl, no recourse whatsoever for them. This kiosk thing is a ripoff, just a con.
User's recommendation: Stay away from these ripoff machines
