Owner is a rude cruel man
I am a five foot tall PhD in theology. That should give you an idea of how threatening I am.
I’m close to 70. I was thrown out of the store by the owner because he said I didn’t look like I could afford to shop there. He said that he had a million dollars worth of merchandise and he was afraid I would steal. This was a few years ago and of course I never went back.
He used dirty language and he screamed like a lunatic.
He is a scary guy. I can’t believe the store is still open.
Owner is RUDE, ARROGANT and ABUSIVE
I returned 2 items within 4 hours of being purchased. Prior to the return I called the store to explain the situation and was told I would be issued a full refund upon returning the merchandise.
When I walked into the store to do the return, Anthony the owner, BERATED me publicly in front of his staff and customers. I have NEVER been spoken to or humiliated the way Anthony self proclaimed to be "the KING of Red Bank" treated me. I have shopped in his store for years and was returning merchandise that my child purchased (for me for Christmas) without consent. She was given a $500 limit by my husband and spent roughly $2250.
It was a childish mistake also know as human error. Not only did they NOT refund me but they charged my card a 2nd time. Once I no longer had the merchandise in hand and Anthony told me to "go ahead...file a complaint and chase down your $ from the bank. He told me using profanity that he hoped to waste my time the same way my daughter had wasted his staff's time.
He also told me to do him a favor and never step foot in his store again. GLADLY!!! You cannot make this up! I had to file 2 claims/cases with the bank.
It took 10 days to have the bank issue me a temporary credit of $4500 which has since been reversed then re-processed only to be reversed yet again. 5 weeks later!
Complete nightmare! AVOID this store like the plague!!!!
Preferred solution: Full refund
Sales manager
All I know is that I will not deal with the store manager who I believe is the dark haired girl. I've been shopping at Coco Pari for years and she is not very costumer service oriented.
I remember once my friend was thinking about buying a pair of shoes, (the shoes were in front of her after she tried them on) we had a different sales lady and the manager took them from my friend before she had decided because another woman wanted to buy them. I couldn't believe she had done that.
Very disappointing, just to make a sale. From that moment on, and I have bought many pairs of shoes and jeans from Coco Pari, I refuse to deal with her and always deal with the more friendly and down to earth sales ladies.
Last year's merchandise passed off as new & more...
I have been shopping at Coco Pari for many summers. I have spent thousands of dollars at both the Red Bank and Deal locations.
This past weekend my husband and I drove 2 hours in traffic to the RedBank location (we reside in NYC). I have always enjoyed shopping there because they give me at least 15-20% off my entire purchase, if not more. (They do this for all "good customers.")
I am an avid shopper in NYC and I've always known they sell past season merchandise as new. But, I like they easy layout of the store and they are generous with their discounts, so I have not cared much.
This past weekend, I had a horrible experience. A heavy set man behind the counter was extremely rude and obnoxious to a shopper who complained about a sales girl pressuring her to buy and giving her unsolicited advice. Another shopper had an exchange with her sales person about snapping photos with her phone. The customer explained she had a "shopping-system" where she takes a photo of each outfit she tries so that she doesn't have to retry them on when she is deciding what to purchase.
She just flips through her snapshots. I thought this was a good idea. The customer asked the dark haired lady behind the counter and they had an argument that lasted about 10 minutes. Lastly, another customer asked for a discount on a blouse that was from last season (I personally saw it on sale at Saks).
She was only offered 10% and was told she didn't have to buy it because someone else would. She ended up buying it. It was then my turn to check out. As I was spending $1,200, I mentioned to the heavy set man that their seemed to be a lot of commotion going on that day.
I quietly told him, that in all three cases, I felt the customers were in the right. He answered me in a very loud voice to get the attention of everybody in the store.
I am not a confrontational person and I felt humiliated. I'd love to hear from one of those 3 shoppers if you read this.
Coco Pari is an awful store.
I am so livid about the level of "customer service," or lack thereof, that I received from this store that I felt the need to warn others. I'll make this short and sweet.
I ordered a pair of Christian Louboutins to the tune of $1k from this store. They shipped them to me in Arizona. Upon arrival, I opened the box to find a pair of incredibly damaged shoes. Scuffs and scratches all over the leather body of the shoe, red missing from the soles. The shoes had clearly been worn and returned in poor condition.
I called the store immediately and spoke with the "manager," and I use that term incredibly loosely, Briana. Let me start out by saying that this woman is one of the nastiest, most miserable people I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Long story short, she accused me of lying and stated that the shoes were not damaged and that I could feel free to email the store owner - before hanging up on me. I have emailed the store manager THREE TIMES with no response. This is not exactly what one might expect after spending $1k on a pair of shoes.
I have NUMEROUS friends who have had similar experiences with this wannabe high end store. Please do yourself a favour and STEER CLEAR.

Every time I come home to NJ I must check out your wonderful store. Last time I bought a beautiful purple Catherine Malandrino tank top. Much to my surprise while watching Desperate Housewives I saw actress Terri Hatcher wearing the same top. Your store carries the most awesome & unique clothing. Love CoCo Pari ...

CoCo Pari has dressed me from head to toe for many occasions where I want to stand out…people are still commenting about my Mandalay dress and Rene Caovilla shoes I purchased for my wedding reception. Thank you for being the one place I know I can go to and have the confidence that whatever I walk out with-I'm going to feel like a million bucks when I wear it. Every woman loves that feeling! You are absolutely fabulous!!!
Amazing Experience
Hi. I just wanted to let you know how superbly wonderful it was to have had the experience of finally finding a store that allows me (I am 59 and still feel young!) to find clothing that makes me feel and look great - not like someone 59 trying to be 30! I love to look romantically sensuous and fun. My husband and I have been married for 36 years and I love to feel great when I get dressed as we go out. I have had personal shoppers at Neiman for a few years and I have always had to walk around to pick out clothing on the third floor as I was trying to explain how I wanted to look and feel - they just did not "get" what I was interested in! I want to let you know how wonderfully incredible Sara was. She got what I was interested in, had loads of choices for me (without even meeting me - just a brief interview over the telephone) and ran to get more when some choices she had were just not quite right! I want you to know that I certainly would NOT have purchased the clothing without her - I would have left without buying anything! She is just terrific and made my entire experience even more delightful! I cannot wait to wear what I have purchased (even though it means the weather has to get a bit colder - and I hate cold weather!)
My husband and I are going away in two weeks for a weekend and I just cannot wait to wear some of the outfits and I cannot wait until he sees it. It is finally wonderful to know that there is a place that "get's it!" Thanks so very much and I look forward a long relationship of great clothing and accessories.
Absolutely Fabulous!!!

Similar unpleasant experience Coco Pari
I also can chime in and support the review of being made to feel like an *** when I went back to the store with a pair of Zanotti sandals that fell apart after wearing them twice. I also can relay a similar experience of a friend where a pair of leather pants split at the seam in the leg-literally opened up.
These pants went with a leather top, vest I believe-not cheap as you might imagine. She too was made to feel like a *** for even thinking the proprietors would make the situation right. Anyhooo, needless to say its been some time since I have set foot in the store. NYC and Short Hills are just not that far and they are a more enjoyable experience.
Tell me, do they still follow you around as if you have stuffed something in your handbag? YUCK. Sounds like they do.
Oh and also, does the owner/buyer's husband still carry around that ridiculous little white dog? For God Sakes people get a grip!
Store owner insulted me in front of many people
I shopped in Coco Pari, a boutique store on Broad Street in Red Bank, New Jersey.
I spent a lot of money there for MANY years.
Today I was looking for boots, and could not find what I was looking for. The sales person literally followed my steps but I did not say anything for a long time trying to deal with it. When I was entering the lower level I asked the sales person not to follow me there so closely. The owner showed up and all of a sudden started yelling at me in front of many people;"Do you have any problems with my sales person folowing you? She must follow your steps. "
The manner and the tone of voice, the whole body language of the owner stunned me. I could not believe his vulgar and loud manner, and his rude attitude. Then he screamed through the entire store,"Look at you, look at you..." and then something else, but I was already out of the door embarassed and humiliated. I left the store, called him from my cell phone, and the voice on the other end shouted,"What do you want?" I told him how insulted and humiliated I was. This was my day off that was ruined for no reason.

Glad they closed...Yes it was horrid to be treated like a piece of garbage if you did not want to pay full price for items in there. The staff was so inexperienced, un professional and only wanted to deal with people who just wanted Louboutin shoes like that is the only shoe that is worth a sale...what about zanotti, sergio rossi, valentino dolce...these people are so uneducated.......they forgot that the internet stole their business along time ago that you could the items on sale...you would think. Ot being the only in game in town and with all the competition....they would be a bit more humble and tell their staff that they should not cherry pick and have an attitude....look where it has gotten them.
The store its closed thank god
