Disgraceful company seems like a scam!

I am reporting this to australia consumer law!!! Pissed off *** really annoyed!!!

I made a purchase recently from Coastal passion for a turtle towel. the arrival was very late.

the quality was far less than what was described. I complain to customer service they promised a refund but that never came.

in the meantime I finally received the product but was not happy at all. steer clear it is Chinese crap.

Had I known this ships not from North Carolina (where returns are accepted), and Not in Australia where they are advertised as being from, but from CHINA, I never would have purchased. False Advertising!

If this company spent as much time on the quality of their products as they do trolling the internet to bash customers who give honest reviews or posting fake positive reviews for their own company, they'd be much more successful.

I am writing this review for anyone that has any doubts on the quality and service of Coastal Passion. I was wanting to buy a series of kids' pillow covers for my grandchildren for Christmas.

I came across Coastal Passion website which had a series of gorgeous pillows for children that seemed perfect for my Jason and Jasmine. The price was right and there was a choice of different fabrics and multiple sizes. The product description said that the pillow were made in USA. I wanted to research this a bit more as I am always concerned about the quality and the origin of a product when buying products for children.

I went to Coastal Passion Facebook page and read hundreds of positive reviews from happy customers. There were also a few customers who had had issues with delivery but it seemed that they had all been addressed and solved by Coastal Passion customer service. I really wanted to dig into this a bit more so I decided to contact Coastal Passion customer service by email and ask about the exact composition of the fabric and where exactly the pillows were made. I received a very polite reply by a customer rep called Holly Bryant who sent me some information on the different types of material and of how the pillows were made.

She even sent me some photos of the factory where the products were produced. She also gave me the address of the factory in North Carolina and said that I was welcome to go and visit them and see for myself how they produced their various fabrics. I was surprised by their friendliness and transparency when dealing with this issue. I have had some other terrible experiences with companies that would either not reply or that would basically tell me that the information I was asking for was none of my business!

I would never buy from those companies as this type of communication was surely a sign that they had something to hide. Anyway I decided to go ahead with my purchase and bought four of the kids' pillow covers with four different designs. Two for my grandson and two for my granddaughter. I immediately received a confirmation email saying that my order was being processed and stating that I would receive it in a week.

After a few days I received another email with the USPS tracking number. Sure enough after seven days the packet arrived. The sender's address was North Carolina as the customer service rep had previously told me. The fabric of the pillows was soft and the colors were even more vibrant than in the pictures on the website.

This came as a complete surprise as I have been upset more than once when receiving products from other websites that were not at all similar to the product images. I understand that there can be a difference due to different monitors or due to the lighting when the product photos are made, but these were completely different colors! I had tried to contact their customer service but was always told that they could do nothing about it. In any case, getting back to my experience with Coastal Passion, I gave the pillows to my grandchildren for Christmas and they were absolutely delighted.

Every time I go and visit them they tell me how much they like them and I see that they put them on the bed together with all their plush toys. I think I know what to give them for their birthdays! I hope Coastal Passion will come out with some new designs... So I am sorry if this might have been a long review but I really do enjoy writing them as I do reading other peoples' reviews.

I have been helped so many times by reading other reviews and i want to give back in some way. So to conclude, do your due diligence and research before buying your products from Coastal Passion or from any other company. Especially if you are buying things that children will wear or play with and that will come into contact with their skin. Some materials even release poisonous chemicals that a child can breathe and that are very harmful.

As for my experience with Coastal Passion I can recommend their kids' pillows and confirm that their customer service is top notch. I had the impression that this company really cares about its customers and stands behind its products.

I ordered 4 pillow covers in different prints. Coastal Passion sent an order confirmation which included the following message: "Please wait 20 WORKING days before contacting us regarding non delivery and 10 WORKING days for your tracking number.", a very clear indication that the items would be coming from overseas. Sure enough, the items arrived from China. The covers themselves are just OK. Very thin fabric, poor construction but, the graphic is fine. I got them on sale ($7.99) so, overall they were worth it but, definitely wouldn't order again.

When I posted a comment with that assessment on one of their ads, I got a defensive private message from someone from their company named "Andrew Rogers" who said they "cannot control every single cover" and asking for me to "send a picture of the strange, synthetic cover" so that they could follow up with their supplier. When I attempted to reply, I found that they've blocked me from their site. Hmmm...Guess they aren't REALLY interested in seeing pictures, after all. And since they delete/block someone when they don't give a glowing review, they obviously don't want other people to see real feedback from other customers who've purchased the products.

Coastal Passion Pillow Covers are awesome. I first ordered from Coastal Passion two years ago through Facebook.

At first I was unaware they have monthly flash sales and deals so I ordered at full price but I have to say that my sea turtle pillow covers were totally worth the price which was not too expensive anyway. Btw I love Sea Turtles! The two covers had a beautiful colorful design of a Sea Turtle that looked perfect on the rattan chairs in my coastal style living room. I don’t live by the beach but am in love with the ocean so I have surrounded myself with coastal décor and beachy accents.

It makes me feel like I am closer to the beach and reminds me of where I really want to be. The fabric of my first Coastal Passion Pillow Covers was a sturdy linen which has a great rustic feel and gives them a beautiful beachy look. They have an almost invisible zipper on the bottom which is useful as I can take the insert out and wash them whenever I like. At first I found it a bit difficult to insert the pillow inside the cover so I contacted Coastal Passion support that were quick to reply and explained an ingenious way of putting the covers over the pillows of which I didn’t know of.

Basically you fold the insert in half holding it with one hand, you then place it inside the cover and finally release the insert back to its original shape. In this way you do not risk forcing the zipper. I was also told that you should buy the inserts two sizes bigger than the cover if you like to have a nice plump pillow. The second time I managed to buy a set of gorgeous pillow covers through their Facebook post.

I had liked and was following their Facebook page so I was receiving all their posts about new collections and designs and also their latest deals and flash sales. I managed to buy a set of 4 covers for the price of three. The designs were all from the same collection called the Blue Ocean Series which has 15 different designs of marine life and shells. I wanted them all!

In the end I chose the seahorse, the starfish and 2 different shells. I was so happy with my purchase and could not wait to get it. Unfortunately after two weeks they had still not arrived and I started to get worried. I knew that shipping times were quite long because each pillow cover is made to order and this is stated on their website.

My first order took 10 days which I found quite reasonable and absolutely worth the wait. I finally decided to contact their support. I received an immediate reply from a lady called Holly Bryant that checked my order. She found that USPS tracking showed no progress and told me that my order was most probably lost in transit!

I was disappointed but to my relief I was told that I would be sent a replacement order as they didn’t want me to go through the distress of having to file a complaint with the USPS which is time-consuming and rarely achieves the desired result. Miss Bryant was very polite and professional and followed up another 2 times to make sure I had my tracking number and to let me know that the order was on its way. She also set up USPS notifications to be sent to my email address so that I could keep trace of my order and I was sent an email by USPS with an expected delivery date. I was very impressed with Coastal Passion customer service even if I had to wait an extra 10 days for my covers.

I do understand that these things happen and for me the most important thing was that I was made aware of this issue that was finally resolved. After the long wait I was really looking forward to receiving my pillow covers and when they arrived all my patience was rewarded: they were absolutely beautiful. This time I had decided to use my old pillows as inserts and the covers fit them perfectly. I was able to renew my living room and give it a fresh new look in an instant and without spending a fortune.

I was so glad with the designs of the Blue Ocean Series that I decided to buy a few different designs as a gift for my family and friends for Christmas. I contacted Coastal Passion support to ask if they sold inserts and I was given a link to a website which sells all types and sizes of inserts for cheap. I used them to stuff the pillows that I was to give for Christmas. They were all really appreciated and I continue to get lots of compliments on the ones I kept for myself from every new guest that comes and visit.

Coastal Passion pillow covers are always a great conversation starter. Even my husband likes them! But the story doesn’t finish here. When I knew that Coastal Passion was advertising a new collection of over-sized pillow covers I couldn’t resist ordering some more.

This time I decided to try out their canvas fabric which gives a crisp white background and I went for the mermaid collection with 4 adorable designs of mermaids. I have to say that I find it difficult not to buy anything which has to do with mermaids as I absolutely love them! I was planning on using them for the patio near the pool as the fabric seemed perfect for outdoor use. This time there were no problems with delivery but I was sent four of the same design instead of 4 different designs!

They still looked perfect on the deck chairs beside the pool and the fabric was a good quality medium thick canvas which has since proved to be resistant and a good choice for outdoor use as long as you don’t leave them under the rain obviously. They haven’t faded either even if I keep them under direct sunlight for 5 hours a day. I was really wanting to have the other three designs though since they are so pretty so I decided to email Coastal Passion support again to tell them I had received the wrong designs. I was certain they would have been helpful but in no way expected them to respond so quickly and offer to send me the three designs free of charge without me having to send the original covers back.

Apparently I had made a mistake ordering but they were very comprehensive and insisted that I keep them.

So I hope this review will help anyone that is undecided whether to buy Coastal Passion Pillow Covers. All in all even if I did have a few issues I have been very satisfied with their customer service and I love their designs.
