There is no functioning customer service...ive been on the phone with 3 different people @ 15 min each...sent multiple emails and the worst is customer service rep Jillnv@***.com was suppose to help...she did not...they have my miney and i have no contacts

DEFECTIVE CONTACT LENSES AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I wear contact lenses and was ordering them from Walgreens.com until Walgreens discontinued selling my brand of lenses. I began ordering from Coastal Contacts/Eyeglasses.
I have ordered from them 4x in the last 2 months! I have complained to their company that the lenses come 6 to a box...........and with each shipment I have a defective lens, AND THE LENSES ARE NOT LASTING 2 WEEKS AS THEY SHOULD. You are only getting a week's wear out of your lenses. Regardless how Coastal gets them..............its either their manufacturer is shady or the company itself is shady!
A box of contact lenses should last me 6 weeks...................please read what I said above............I HAVE ORDERED 4 BOXES WITHIN THE LAST 8 WEEKS..................When I complained to their customer service dept, they credited me for exactly 2 lenses. Coastal contacts, my next step is reporting matters to the BBB and whomever else I can get to properly investigate your company! Please consider yourself as having lost a customer. Defective contacts, cavalier response

I have been a fan of this Washington state company for more than a decade. While I don't wear contacts every day, I have ordered four boxes at a time for a total of perhaps $1K worth of business in the past 10 years.
I loved the "free" glasses, which don't seem to be so free anymore, but my primary complaint is that the CIBA Dailies I bought were defective. They consistently fractured in my eye and I had to try to scrape off pieces. This caused any number of problems. I wrote via email.
And I telephoned.
But because I had put an L and an R on the boxes (BE FOREWARNED! NEVER WRITE ON CONTACTS BOXES JUST IN CASE YOU WANT TO RETURN THEM), the company service rep "couldn't" take them back or even offer credit toward a better brand.I am sorely disappointed and have been out more than $200.
Shipping
- - Coastal is a Canadian company; shipments arrive from Vancouver or WA.
- - A shipment is in Memphis awaiting customs; service has been limited.
I was not aware that Coastal is a Canadian Company. Sometimes their shipments come from Washington State and sometimes from Vancouver.
My shipments have always come from Washington state until this shipment. It is coming from Vancouver, which means it has to go through customs. I have been informed by fed ex that the large shipment is in Memphis TN and waiting for customs to review - could be a week could be a month. I called coastal contacts and all they said was we will talk to people.
I informed them that there was not much I could do but call them everyday to see where my contacts are.
In the meantime I have run out of contacts and do not know when my new ones will arrive. I am pissed and will search for an American reputable company.
Poor return service

We returned the wrong contacts back to Coastal Contacts using their own return label a couple of weeks ago. My wife was just telling me that she hasn't seen the money for the return put back into our account yet.
I was just ready to file a complaint with the BBB when I finally received their email telling me they are now just beginning to process the return. Now they are telling me it's going to take 5 to 10 more business days for me to see my refund.
Yet this company was quick to take the money from me, twice.
Too bad they're not quicker with the returns. I used to like this company.
CHARGED ME FOR AN UNAUTHORIZED ORDER
- - I did not sign up for auto refill; charged $139.91.
- - No lenses delivered; FedEx left at front door.
- - Order not placed; appears stolen while I was away.
Coastal Contacts claims that I signed up for "auto refill" for lenses, which I did not. Out of nowhere there is a surprise debit on my credit card for $139.91, and on top of that, I did not receive any lenses.
They said they shipped FedEx, but do not have a signature as proof of delivery, as the FedEx tracking info says "left at front door". Obviously somebody stole the order that I did not place and I am expected to pay for it.
I was out of the country for two months at the time so was not home to receive or refuse (which is what I would have done). I am following up with my credit card's fraud dept.
Coastal Contacts refuses refunds, never returns calls, horrible customer service!!!

I spent FIVE weeks trying to get a refund on a return. They double-charged me, had mysteriously no record of my return, and basically lied to my face.
I called Customer Service over and over and no one was ever available to help me, they were always "in meetings". The customer service reps are worthless. They promise calls back over and over and NO ONE, not even the higher-up managers and Corporate-level employees, return calls. I eventually had to write an email to the OWNER of the company to get my *** refund and finally he put it into action, after I went through 3 weeks of Customer Service Reps and 2 weeks dealing with the "managers".
Absolutely horrible company I will never give them another penny of my money.
CoastalContacts.com ignores mails and refuses to refund defective contacts
- - Bought 4 boxes of contacts from CoastalContacs.com a year ago.
- - Second box tore a lens in my eye; I sent back the rest and was promised a refund.
A year ago I bought 4 boxes of contacts (each containing 6 lenses) from CoastalContacs.com (CC).
Upon opening the second box, the lens got torn in my eye. The same happened with the second lens from the same box.
I immediately wrote to CC and sent them the rest of the box (4 more lenses) at their request. They said that by doing so they will be able to refund me.
Ever since then, they ignore my mails, never call me back and never gave me the refund for the defective box (100$).
I wrote the company producing the lenses but they told me I have to talk to CC!!
Any ideas whom should I turn to

Oh no I was hoping the problem I had was a single instance...Ivery had to email and call for an order place June 6...sill haven't received them...leaving for out of state for 3 weeks...no contacts...the staff has trouble understanding me and I sure have problems understanding them...last straw..supervisor was suppose to get back to me Jillnv@***.com. ..that didn't happen They sure did get their money Cindy Dees
