Quality Work by Jim Horn
While Jim Horn's business is primarily doors, windows and siding, he has completed several projects for us, the latest today, Dec 19, 2016. Interior work on an addition previously built.
We couldn't be more pleased with the quality, timeliness and his eye for detail. As my budget allows, I have several other projects that I will not hesitate to use him on. Jim is personable and always listens to questions and concerns and answers in a straightforward manner. One previous job, I purchased the materials and had them delivered.
In working, he cut a piece wrong and immediately advised me of the situation and he would go to purchase a replacement. Top Notch.....'nough said.

Jim Horn of Cloudcap Construction has worked on several projects at our home, both inside and out, and we have been completely satisfied with his work. He is personable and accommodating, even when we have made changes to a job mid-project.
Jim is also punctual and reliable, listens to what we want as customers and figures out how to accommodate our wishes even when it requires thinking outside the box.
We have found Jim to be honest, fair and hard-working. He has even gone the extra mile. At one point we needed help on the 4th of July, and even though it was a holiday, Jim came over and took care of a problem that had been created by another contractor. Because he gave up his own holiday, we were able to get the work done right away so we could have the July 4 party that we had planned for that night.
We will be using Jim on our future house projects, and highly recommend him.

Couldn't be more pleased.
Everything went perfectly. I found him very pleasant and easy to work with, and I couldn't be more pleased.
The price was excellent as well. I would recommend Cloudcap Construction to anyone. I had all the windows replaced on my property. There was dry rot under one which he also removed.
Especially appreciated from someone in the construction industry was that he showed up when he said and got it all done promptly.
I was glad that he hauled all the old dilapidated windows away. I had heard from elsewhere that he was an excellent choice, and I would certainly recommend him.

Cloudcap Construction did incompetent, poor quality work in my home.
Jim Horn of Cloudcap Construction in Eugene Oregon did a very poor job installing doors, and window and baseboard trim and molding in my home.
He installed a partially, poorly finished expensive, new front door with visible scratches and window dripped and smeared with stain and urethane.
He took my existing front door without my permission and refused to provide a replacement door to allow for repairs and refinishing. Typically this is considered theft.
After returning home from work on a day he worked at my house, I found that he left a paint tub of mineral spirits with a paint brush in it and an unsealed can of urethane unattended inside my house.
The quality of work was so poor he eliminated labor charges upon complaint then went back on his word and demanded full payment.

Jim Horn did excellent work for my wife and I. Jim installed windows all the way around our house and he stood by not only his own work but when the manufacturer of the windows made a mistake, he stood behind that as well and corrected the problem.
Conscientious and quick. I recommend highly.
Jim just recently installed new windows in our new house. Its the 3rd house he has worked on for us, and did excellent work as usually, showed up when he said he would, cleaned up each day, and billed what he said it would cost. I highly recommend him.
Nice work and fastidious.....Creative and nice to work with...Not sure why the other complaint, wonder what the basis is for the negative comment. Seems to me that the person has an axe to grind over nothing.
Borders on the libelous. I see a great craftsman who puts his ALL into the work he does.
You won't be sorry to hire Jim!

GREAT WORK BY CLOUDCAP CONSTRUCTION. I have used this company over the years for numerous home remodeling projects and have always been happy with the quality of work.
Jim Horn has good attention to details and good ideas.
He is honest, friendly and hard working. I will definitely use him again.
