Please DO NOT use Clinicient for your practice

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

EMR program is very archaic and not very user friendly. Almost every problem we encountered we had to call Clinicient for support. I spent all day trying to resolve the issue and that took away patient care.

The billing is the worse. Lost so much revenue because of their incompetence. They failed to follow up on claims and resubmitting claims, not posting claims properly, patients receiving bills when they should not have; billed out to the wrong address and not even investigate on why. If I pay premium price, why do I have to investigate claims myself?

When patients had questions about the billing, it was impossible for them to get a hold of someone to properly answer or help

We can't wait to leave them soon. Not soon enough I hate to say.

Thank you for the honest feedback. It's difficult to find realistic reviews of Clinicient.

The overwhelming number of five star reviews are paid placements according to some ex-Clinicient employees on Glass Door.

We started with them in December 2018 and it's been a downward spiral of bad bills, no support and so on from them. Whatever problem we're having, the answer is to "review the training video." This is a zero stars product!

My practice is in the same situation and we are looking at over $150,000 in damages. Have you pursued any legal action with them?

Robert, I don't even know how do you start. On top of the already lost revenue, dealing with lawyers would be more costly?

I contacted their headquarter and was able to get in touch with the CEO's secretary and discussed about my situation and she was able to give me another head executive that I spoke directly with.

If you can not get the answers from billing, I may suggest you go higher up with your complaints, maybe things will get done. Good luck!

Lost Significant Money using Clinicient

I received reports from them saying they were doing a great job collecting all kinds of money, when the numbers did not add up. Upon digging deeper into specific EOB's I found they were writing off claims, rebilling bad claims without fixing them, over billing, under billing, non compliance issues, posting issues.

The contract is written so you would lose money trying to recoup anything from them. When on a telephone conference questioning some of their handling- they had no explanations for any of it- every patient question the phone went dead- they failed to resolve issues and failed to take any accountability. I would highly recommend getting good references from people who have left this company.

You can find those references by calling other billing companies and asking to speak to their clients who LEFT Clinicient. Anyone considering a class action lawsuit against this company, count me in.

Avoid Clinicient, they’re not worth the money they charge

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Your complaints caught my attention. I was in the same position 18 months ago.

Our practice used Clinicient EMR and their revenue cycle management. I was in the same boat, no phone support, it took several days to get a response to emails, and the responses were vague. Even though I was paying for outsourced billing, my staff had to have weekly billing meetings with Clinicient. If we didn’t direct the process nothing happened.

Even with this, collections were poor. I was approached by a practice owner using a different EMR. I liked what I saw and installed their system. Todays collections are up way up vs.

Clinicient , we don’t have billing meetings, we can call for support questions and documentation is faster.

Add to this, we also pay much less than we paid Clinicient... I am very happy that we moved away from Clinicient and now use Systems4PT.

We are in a situation here where clinicient billing mistakes has caused our clinic to run extremely low on cash flow. Clinicient staff does not seem concerned at all.

THE WORST!

NEVER TRUST YOUR BUSINESS WITH CLINICIENT. We pay them to do all of our billing, expecting timely follow up, accurate posting, and accurate statements.

The three main goals of a billing company and they can't do any of it properly. They post incorrectly constantly, leaving the incorrect patient balance, sometimes none at all, adjusting it off instead without permission. They have awful communciation set up between 'tasks' which only they can send, not us, and a portal which can take days to receive a response. They have people working there who are half trained and a management staff who has no idea what to do to fix it.

Not to mention the thousandswe lost out on because of improper billing. I am a very sensible person I'd say, so hear me clearly when I say I don't do this often.

But the thousands of dollars we spend a month having to have our own staff learn to do their jobs- properly and go behind them to fix their mistakes is just robbery. Never choose them for your billing company!

There are other options. If you like the Insight EMR Platform and don’t want to go through the hassle of switching practice management software call Clinicient and ask to be referred to a Billing Affiliate. A Billing Affiliate is and Independent Outsource Billing Service with expert knowledge working on the Insight Billing Platform.

What's wrong with Clinicient?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I am researching emir and Clinicient wants to be high on my list of considerations. But I cannot reconcile the nasty internal fighting going on inside the company.

Researching glass door.com there are 57 posts from employees. More than half of them are ugly, angry and very critical of Clinicient management. Early in 2015 and 2016 the employee comments that were positive, defended management, citing the negative posts that criticised management were just a few bad Apple employees. Then later in 16 Clinicient fired their CEO and all of the sudden the the employees who were defending Clinicient blamed all of the problems on past management.

Hmmmm Angry comments have continued through last week. The latest criticism being that the new CEO is not visible or engaged and discussed that the "turnaround" is tough. What is the "turnaround"? Is the company in trouble?

I take these employee posts as authentic.

The rants are so damaging that Clinicient could remove them, if they were not true. While Clinicient talks a super smooth game, insider information does not make me confident about leadership, focus on quality, or stability

Why I avoid clinicient EMR

While researching EMR I've spoken with over a dozen practice owners who use this EMR. there is universal agreement that Clinicient does a poor job collecting (if you outsource billing to them).

Complaints include high turnover and everyone comments that the biller is just too busy to cover the details. Clinicient "locks you in" as checks and eobs for industry/labor (workers comp), motor vehicle and paper claims are sent to Clinincient's lock box. This makes it very hard to leave them in the future. Practice owners universally agree that Clinicient does not chaise the hard stuff.

But without visibility of the eob, the practice owner has no control. Clinicient proudly claims that they don't write off any old A.R. But people tell me at 90 days they give it back to the practice. Why would I pay Clinicient to collect my money when they send the hardest claims back to the practice after they've aged 90 days?

People notice that service has deteriorated at Clinicient. There is strong pressure for clinics to send emails when they have problems. Practice owners say waiting a week for an answer is not uncommon. When they call for support they note that hold times of 10 minutes are common.

More than one Clinicient practice told me that Clinicient did not submit their pqrs. The therapists entered pqrs properly into the Clinicient EMR, but Clinicient never submitted the info . The practice owners each told me that they are petitioning CMS because Clinicient EMR made the mistake, not them.

Clinicient tells a good story. But my friends tell a very different story.

Clinicient billing is among the worst

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was involved in a network that recently installed Clinicient and their revenue cycle management outsource billing. While the network was profitable and growing, Clinicient convinced everyone that things could be much better.

After installing Clinicient, monthly collections declined 20% to 30%. Even though billing was outsourced to Clinicient, the practice admin team was saddled with fixing the problems.

Within 6 months the once profitable network owner had no choice but to sell out to a larger network. There just wasn't enough cash to continue on his own. It was a distress sale.

When I listen to other practice owners who outsource billing to Clinicient I hear similar depictions of poor collections and incompetence.

Lately Clinicient is trying to strong arm practices into giving up their in house billing and letting Clinicient take it over from Portland. Based on what I saw, the answer is NO WAY.

Not deserving of my business

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have a friend in NY who had the same experience. *** poor collections by Clinicient and he lost his peactice. What do you expect from a company owned by vulture capitalists?

Catalyst investors. Www.catalyst.com. Click on portfolio. Clinicient is one of many under their control.

Jim built a great company. But Jim is gone.

Problems with collections. I've seen the same. This looks to be an example where the new owner, the V/Cs, spend a lot of time and money on image and are trying to fix their internal problems before more people hear about the problems. My instincts agree with the many on line comments from Clinicient employees, this is a work in progress. It's going to win big, or fail big.
