We used this company around 16 years ago. We had just bought the house and the exterior as in a shocking state.

They took 6 weeks, taking off defective render and repairing the architectural Features before painting. When complete they cleaned everywhere, including windows, gutters and drains. We were given a 10 year guarantee. After nine years I went around the property and noticed some small areas where it was beginning to flake.

I told Vince and he had the defective areas repaired. Most of the house was pretty much as sound as when it had been painted.

The house is in an exposed, elevated position facing the sea. It gets battered by wind and salt air in the winter. I noticed that some other houses in the area which had been painted around the same time or after ours had been completely repainted again within the ten years that ours was under warranty from Climatised Coating.

I felt satisfied that although I could have had the house painted cheaper it would not have stood the test of time.

Although the house could have gone a few more years without being repainted I had Climatised Coatings back about 18 months ago to freshen it up with a top coat of a slightly different colour.

Received scam letter claiming the from their records our property was due for inspection , they have not done any work on this property. Didn't even have our name on the letter - so the so called record keeping must be poor for the poor people they have actually done some work for.

Vince Barlow Coatings=Very Bad Company.

High-pressure sales pitch by VB with false assurances that his products would seal and weather-proof my pebble-dashed, retaining garden wall. Within 3 months the newly applied textured paint was all flaking off.

I tried touching it up and, by having done so, was then told by Barlow that I had invalidated his 10 year so-called ' guarantee'. Employing his firm was a mighty costly mistake at £4,500.

He writes his own 5star reviews too. See those dated Jan 13th.2016 and Sept 12th.2017 both from Chester, the latter emanating from the same business address as shown on the Climatised Coating letterhead!

Talk about rogue traders.

Whilst his two workmen were pleasant enough, the fact remains that the job failed due to poor preparation.

Barlow is a glib conman and should be avoided like the plague. He doesn't deserve even 1 star, but there is no zero star option.

They have done my walls twice, the second time came back under guarantee which stood for nothing as they said they had no money to buy the paint??

So we paid again, bad move.

Today my walls are being stripped back to the brick and the job is being done Again.

This time by a reputable company.

We used Climatised Coatings (UK) for the first time this year to prepare and coat a large stable block and have been extremely pleased with the results. The professionalism of all staff from start to finish has been superb and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Also Climatised coatings did work on our flats which are in a unique setting right next to the sea. The work was carried out on time. There was some issues with external walls due to internal moisture, they explained that this would be an issue but they would come back and fix until the dampness went. They have been true to their word on this.

The rest of the building is perfect and we have no issues. I won't hesitate to recommend this company to anybody and are happy for anybody to visit our property to inspect the workmanship.

All I can say is fantastic. Would strongly recommend this company to anybody.

A block of 18 flats in South Hampshire. This company were employed to apply two textured coats in Oct/Dec 2012.

Only one coat applied. We have many areas where the paint is flaking off or were not painted in the first place, especially on the roof where no one can see.

In 2015 I rang - 'Vince Barlow' answered. told me to send photos. No action taken.

Sent more photos summer 2015. Barlow replied ' not a fault of theirs; paint was flaking due to age of brickwork. I suggested we arrange repairs as long as he paid labour costs. He refused and said if we paint the warranty is void.

I wish I had read the reviews before contacting Climatised Coatings. I wonder whether 'Vince Barlow' is the same man who owns 100% of the Company. I have forgottwen that name.

We had our property painted for the second time by the fantastic team from Climatised Coatings. They worked, thoroughly, diligently, and tidied up after themselves, professional throughout the process, they will be my first choice when my property is ready to be re- done the next time.

Many thanks to the manager Vince Barlow and his workers They have coated 4 properties for me since 2008 and only one had some slight peeling which they promptly re-coated. I have always found the Company to be responsive and professional in my dealings with them and Mark who did all the work was always friendly, approachable and left the premises clean and tidy.

This company assured us of a good looking water tight protective coating.

The Company will guarantee that the material allied will not

flake, chip or peel for a period of not less than 10 years.

The company will not even visit the location to see the problem...

The coating has split all over the building & has held the water against the building creating internal damage & now the paint is just pealing off; leaving the building looking uncared for.

We alerted the company to problems during the works & then 8 months later to date; they have done nothing & now maintain that we invalidated their guarantee by fitting waste pipes etc.
