Verified ReviewerPredatory lenders- Barely solved prior to lawsuit
These lenders call their lending a lease while making sure there's no cancellation clause. They also charge a certain number of payments without interest.
They call it a fee, but their fee is almost the total cost of the initial financing.
Their agents are high pressure and lie while getting you to sign the contract in a hurry on the phone so you can't read the terms. I was told I could pay off early at any point and that there's no fee at the end, like most leases. I financed 15k of equipment. There would have been a 2k fee at the end of 42 months of payments costing 696 per month.
That's 90% of the financed amount as a fee. The 5 month payoff early is a hidden term where you can pay the entire cost within 5 months and lose all of the monthly payments. They charge a credit card fee and a $300 processing fee at this time, as well.
I was able to get them to "extend" the payoff to month 8 when I was looking to refinance and figured out what they were all about. I put it on a credit card with 26% interest, will do a balance transfer to a 0% interest card (promo) and pay it off in 12 months.
I lost 6k in 8 months on this deal and was set to lose a total of about 14k.
Disgusting practices. Someone needs to take this to class action. They escape being predatory by not charging traditional interest. This new way needs to be recognized by the courts.
I've reported to the BBB, and more importantly to the US Federal Consumer Protection Agency.
Report them asap! Let's require all businesses to do good business and not allow loan sharks.
User's recommendation: Avoid. Get a personal loan, use a credit card, use anything else.

Did you even for one split second READ the contract terms BEFORE you agreed to the.???
When they are being predatory, lying, and demanding a contract be signed while on the phone, they know what they are doing. Why would a trustworthy company say A, but have a contract for B?
The entire way this company does business is predatory and dishonest. Contract or no contract, the businesses in this country who run in a predatory way have very little legal recourse for a reason. This company finding a possible workaround needs to be reported by customers like me, and I'm glad I'm getting the info out there for future and past clientele of CL. It sounds like you might be personally invested in my issue?
A company should never charge a "fee" that would amount to an interest charge in the same amount being impossible to collect legally because of the predatory amount. They should never call themselves a "lease" but have no lease cancellation policy for those who figured out what they are being charged. A company should not have access to a bill in these amounts but not answer their emails that demand account access or a breakdown of the billing statement, or an explanation why if a major loan term/option was ending why the loan holder was not notified at least 3 times in months prior. This company is disgusting and those that can find another way to pay for their equipment, should.
You are entitled to your opinion. However, writing predatory contracts doesn't make it good business practice.
Admitting what you did not do or did not get in writing before making your decision would be more honest and helpful to others than what you are doing. Your post and comment (reply to did you read the contract?) are more like a writing exercise to justify bad judgment and nurse a bruised ego.
It feels like your endgame is some badge of absolution.
Two things can be true. Poor decision making on your part and predatory bordering illegal business practices on theirs.
