Verified ReviewerBuyer beware of their shady selling practices
I purchased my 2023 eclipse cross in march/ april 2023 and asked to get gap, extended warranty and an oil package on my new car. This was non-negotiable in order for me to leave with a new car, these would have to be included.
Come to find out today after 3 months of having the car, that these items that were confirmed by Dezmon and Chuck, were not added to my contract. Terry and Andrew told me that this would be Arivo's fault as they would have declined the loan. Upon speaking to Arivo, this is not the case. They should have offered these and included the items that I asked for.
Buyer beware as this is a shady scam tactic that this dealership has now done and I'm without an extended warranty or gap insurance because they can't add it now! We will be filing a lawsuit if this cannot be resolved.
Preferred solution: I would like the oil change, gap insurance and extended warranty added to my car, how it should have been from the beginning.

Verified ReviewerI have been riding on a wing and a prayer. Mr T Lane told his guys to take my car to the shop and align the trunk and the hood, also fix where the front bumper was coming loose. . I got home with it
Now the front bumper on the passenger side is getting worst. I am afraid that the wind is going to cause something bad to happen.
I have gotten so tired until I just say Lord why? This car cost me too much. I have had a lot of sickness going on here until I just left it along. But until today so much wind and rain the bumper is pulling away again.
Looks like the hook is broken and they knew it. Why?

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
My husband and I went to the clay Cooley Mitsubishi in Arlington to see about trading in our car we purchased from them over a year ago. We were assisted by a representative, she was nice.
However, when she told us we weren’t able to trade in our car because it was through the in house program, we told her we were told by multiple clay Cooley reps that were able to trade in within 12-15 months of having the vehicle if we made our payments. She told us she will talk to her boss and have him speak to us.
So as I waited with my two children, my husband stepped outside to take a phone call. Five minutes passed and her boss storms out of the office yelling in front of everyone in the building saying “if they don’t have $6,000-$7,000 they can’t trade in nothing!” And he stormed into another room and never acknowledged us at all.
The worst car buying experience EVER!!!
I had the worst car buying experience of my life at your Mitsubishi dealership in Arlington. I truly believe that I was swindled and they have no intention of correcting their errors.
I went in on 11/1/17 to purchase a 2017 Outlander SE or SEL. They had me test drive a demo, but it was a base model. I informed them that this was not the one that I was intending to purchase and they agreed. While walking out to the vehicle to do the test drive, the finance manager was walking with out salesman and they were having a conversation.
The finance manager proceeded to use the "N" word in front of us and my 12 year old son! At this point I should have walked away and wish I had, but I did not. After suffering from a lay off for almost 1 year, my in-laws were going to co-sign for me since my credit took a hit. Unbeknownst to me, they did no put my trade in on the vehicle purchase and only opened the loan in my mother -in-laws name and mine was not even on there.
When shuffling paperwork in front of me, I saw that they vehicle listed had 9 miles on it and I approved since the one I test drove had over 500 on it. They kept us there for over an hour waiting on paperwork when they said it would only be 5 more minutes and knowing that my son had to eat dinner because he was starving. (I believe this was another of their ploys.) When they gave us the keys to the car, I got in it and didn't even look over things, not that they offered to go over anything with me, because I had to get my son dinner. As I was driving home, I realized that this was the demo model that I test drove!
They charged me the price of the 2017 SE or SEL and not a base model. This is NOT the vehicle that I made very clear that I wanted. This demo model also had a bent hood to where it does not even shut completely. The vehicle also displays a "Routine Maintenance Required" message and "Low Tire" alert each time I turn on the car.
With a new car, this should NOT be happening! I have gone round and round with the finance manager and he promised to fix everything. He finally comes tells me after over 1 week that "the bank will not change the vehicle". I find it hard to believe that he even tried in the first place.
I escalated to the general manager and he said that he would investigate and call me back. After not hearing back from him for 2 days, I call him back and he refuses to speak with me since I am not on the loan. I tell him that it part of the problem and he very rudely tells me, "as I said...I cannot talk to you about this vehicle". I tell him that I will get my mother-in-law on the line with us and will call back.
He conveniently never takes my call again, nor calls her or I back. I have placed a stop payment on my down payment check and it will not be reissued until I get ALL of these issues corrected. I want this vehicle taken back and given the vehicle that I was supposed to get in the first place...at no additional cost and at least the same monthly payments or better, if possible. I cannot tell you how disgusted I am with the service that I have received all around from this dealership.
I would love to talk to Mr. Cooley and inform him of the caliber of people he has working in his Arlington location.

Preferred solution: Give me the vehicle that I actually purchased and not the demo that was previously sold and driven over 500 miles before coming back to the dealership!
TERRIBLE!!!!!!
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. THE CLAY COOLEY MITSUBISHI IN ARLINGTON TX!
WE PURCHASED A VEHICLE 1000 DOLLARS DOWN! THEY SOLD US A MALIBU AND THE PIECE OF *** HAD TO BE RETURNED BECAUSE THE NEXT DAY LESS THAN 24 HRS THE CAR HAD A LEAK AND WE COULDN'T FIND THE BUCKLE TO MY DAUGHTERS SEAT BELT AND THE PASSENGER SEAT DIDN'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE (THE SALESMAN SAID IT WAS ON CHILD LOCK) TURNED OUT TO BE A *** LIE. WHEN WE TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE MAN HE HAD TO TAKE THE CAR UP TO THE SHOP AREA TO GET TO MY DAUGHTERS SEAT BUCKLE, THEN HE TELLS US THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IS BAD AND NOT TO DRIVE IT TO MUCH AND TOO COME BACK IN THE WEEK (WORK WEEK) SO HE CAN FIX IT! SO WE HAD TO COME BACK MONDAY!
COME TO FIND OUT FROM ANOTHER SERVICE MAN THAT INSPECTED THE VEHICLE IT ALSO HAD A CRACKED RADIATOR! I HAD TO MISS WORK AND MY HUSBAND WAS UP THERE UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO GO TO WORK AT 3 AND HE GOT THERE AT 9:30AM! ONCE HE LEFT THE ONLY THING "RESOLVED" WAS THE FACT HE WAS COMING BACK TO SWITCH THE CAR FOR A DIFFERENT ONE. SO WE WERE GOING TO GO WITH THE ONLY DECENT CAR THEY HAD LEFT FOR US TO CHOOSE FROM WHICH WAS THE 2013 DODGE AVENGER (WHICH WE DIDN'T EVEN WANT) THREE DIFFERENT REPS SAID IT WAS GOING TO BE A CHEAPER NOTE THAN THE MALIBU, BUT ONCE THEY HAD US ADD IT TO THE INSURANCE THEY TELL US IT WAS GOING TO BE A HIGH CAR NOTE!
BY THAT TIME MY HUSBAND HAD AN HR TO BE AT WORK. AND WE TOLD THEM TO GIVE US OUR 1000 DOLLAR DOWN PAYMENT BACK! IT HAS NOW BEEN TWO DAYS NO DOWN PAYMENT MONEY BACK IN OUR ACCOUNT YET.
AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING MY HUSBAND HE NEVER TURNED IN THE KEY TO THE PIECE OF *** MALIBU (WHICH HE DID)! I AM SO ANGRY THIS EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN A TRUE NIGHTMARE SO PLEASE THINK TWICE IF YOU DECIDE TO GO TO CLAY COOLEY MITSUBISHI IN ARLINGTON TX!

Clay Cooley Mitsubishi, Arlington TX
I'm 72 years old, bought dozens of cars and this is the WORST experience I have ever encountered with a car deal. I should have walked away when they would not honor their advertised price but *** me, I went to the BBB and it got their attention. From that day, it has been downhill. My 2015 Outlander Sport has numerous problems and fits into the Lemon category. Mitsubishi told me my 5-year roadside service was cancelled. Clay Cooley told me that Mitsubishi told them not to service my car anymore and tell me to take it to another (Clay Cooley) store further from my home. I talked to Mitsubishi and was told it is not so.
The only thing worse than the sales department is the service department. There is never anybody there. They don't answer their phones when you call. They had my car for twelve (12) days and would probably still have it if I had not called to ask when I could get it back.
My GPS was stolen out of the console during that twelve days and nobody over there cares.
I will be filing a lemon law claim against Clay Cooley but from what I have read, the settlement is negotiated and I'm sure I know who will win in the end.
Thanks to Clay Cooley, I will never buy another new car, nor will I buy an imported piece of *** ever again. Mitsubishi has been in business too long to allow this kind of dealer to own a franchise.

Clay Cooley Mitsubishi - Poor Customer Treatment Review
Not very trustworthy folks at Clay Cooley Mitsubishi. I have two vehicles.
Went to CCM the salesman told me that there was too much negative equity involved to be able to make a deal. Then the man told me that he could get me into a vehicle that very day if I would follow his advice. He told me to buy their vehicle and then call the Credit Union that is holding the notes and tell them that I would not make any more payments and to come and get them.
That shows me that he definitely did not have my best interest in mind. He was only interested in the commission he would get by selling me a vehicle.

Very surprised they did not include these things. They are normally 50% to 60% profit for car dealers. However, good luck on your lawsuit what you signed negates every thing you said befoore signing the papers.
