Verified ReviewerThey lied about the condition of my car and State Farm agreedand wanted to give me $9,135.50.
- - Sharon Stevens says Classic Coillsion inflated repairs and totaled her 2012 Dodge Durango.
- - She was told to accept the offer or pay out of pocket.
My name is Sharon H Stevens. I'm 65 years old and I purchased my car in 2012.
I named my car Black Beauty.
I was in an accident and was liable for the other person's car. The problem was the insurance on my car and the company that inspected it. I have complete full coverage on my vehicle with State Farm Insurance.
I drove my car to the body shop called Classic Coillsion expecting an honest review of the damages. My insurance company State Farm agreed with the decisions of the body shop inspectors.
They actually totaled my car!
Let me remind you that I drove my car to Classic Coillsion. However they claimed my car was totaled.
Their description of my car was that it had holes in the radiator and damage to the under pinning. These statements are untrue. My bumper was completely separated from my car when I drove it to them.
Actually, it was in the truck of my car. These last two statements are correct.
The claims agent was no help and offer me the same information about the totality of my vehicle. She quoted policies with little or no recourse.
Classic Coillsion inflated the cost of the repairs which placed my car in the catorgy of "totaled." My car is a 2012 Dodge Durango. Yes, it is 14 years old with over 130,000 miles on the odometer.
It's a smooth driving car.
State Farm rating of my car was: the engine received a very good rating. The transmission received a very good rating. The front and back tires also received a very good rating. Why did they totaled my car?
The insurance agent explained that once Classic Coillsion deemed my car totaled my only recourse was to accepted their offer and relinquish by car to them or by my car back from State Farm if I wanted to keep it.
I wanted my car repaired at a reasonable price.
Classic Coillsion saw a 65 year old woman and decided it was in THEIR best interest to total my car. The assumption was I would take the check and run. I faithfully paid my insurance premiums every year. I trusted that State Farm would be honest and fair with me.
They did neither.
I am very disappointed with State Farm Insurance and Classic Coillsion. They are only interested in the bottom line.
Then I was informed that if I didn't accept the offer; State Farm would not pay for the repairs to my car. I did not accept their offer. I now would have to pay out of pocket.
I'm calling my lawyer.
Consumers beware, run do not walk, take time to review the consumer reviews for anything you plan to insure, buy, or need repairs services to your homes, vehicles or personal property. These two companies are working together to increase their profits.
They are not working with integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness their advertisements convey to consumers!
- Deceptive inspections and inflated costs
Preferred solution: I don't trust this company anymore. I want nothing from them.
User's recommendation: I do not recommend Classic Coillsion to anyone.

Classic Collision drove a Corvette to death instead of replacing the window
- - The shop took the Corvette for joy rides and caused major damage.
- - Evidence shows 20+ miles driven, inconsistent stories, and no apology.
They were supposed to leave the car in the parking lot and allow a third party glass company replace the passenger window that was shattered. Instead they took the car out on numerous joy rides and ended up destroying it. One day they called the customer and said the car was ready for pick up. The next morning they called back and said it was on the back of a flat bed town truck and engine parts were falling off and leaking out but they "weren't going over 100mph or doing anything crazy." They assured the customer that they would cover all necessary repairs and not to worry about anything as this just happened during their normal test drive route.
Of course when the initial estimate came in at over $5,000 they decided not to fix it. Further investigation revealed that the car most likely hit a low object like a curb or went off the road. The steering rack was smashed into the front of the engine and caused a lot of damage. Current estimate is that the car will be a total loss.
Their own odometer photos show that the car was driven over 20 miles! Numerous eye witnesses saw the car out on different days. There are lots of security cameras around. Despite the irrefutable evidence they have taken over a month to admit to taking the car out at least 3 different times and driving over to the next city.
What really happened? We may never know. What we do know for sure that shop manager was on vacation, the employees had a lot of fun in the customer's Corvette, and now they're refusing to take responsibility. They cannot even tell the same version of the story twice so it's impossible to believe anything these crooks say.
The customer still has no car, compensation or even an apology. I would avoid this company at all costs. Avoid GEICO insurace, too. These people are a GEICO guaranteed ARX shop and GEICO has been equally worthless in coming to an acceptable resolution.

New commenter here. A car can be totaled for two reasons.
One, safety/inability to make the car road-worthy OR the cost to repair exceeds the Kelly Blue Book value. Your 14-year old modeled car has a KBB value of $7700 to $8500. The reason it was suggested to get other estimates was IF you get quotes MUCH lower than that, you win. Why you refuse to is confusing.
It also is not too smart disparaging CC and/or your insurance company. Your lack of insight may just get your policy canceled for your next car.
The question is: why does my situation concerns you if you are not with Classic Collision? Why are you so concerned about the millions of people who might see my truth, my honesty, and my transparency? I have exactly what I need, their attention and yours.
I’m not concerned. I’m baffled that you don’t understand how auto insurance works.
As a reader here, I see 3-4 examples of truly clueless people each week. You are one of them.
I read your comments. Classic Collision was not truthful about the damages to my vehicle.
I do not needed three or four others estimates. I only needed one honest and truthful inspector and mechanic. Classic Coillsion knew exactly what they had reported about my car, which was nefarious. The integrity and dignity are lacking qualities in your company.
Classic Coillsion did a disservice to this customer. I am just being honest and as truthful as your company was just as deceitful.
I made the comment. I am not with CC.
You are on a third party site that gets 3 million visitors each month. All who can comment. Yes, you do need other estimates.
You cannot make the allegations you are just because you are not getting your way. Prove everyone wrong and get those estimates.
Classic Collision isn’t making one dime if your car is totaled. And the cost to repair exceeds your car’s value.
You have a very poor attitude.
If you feel you are so right, go get 3-4 other estimates to back up your statements. Statements you are not qualified to make.
