I am so frustrated that since the time she took over the bench, I am fighting her and not the opposition. The judge doesn't know the meaning of Findings, doesn't look at Evidence, refers to 'allegations' as findings and evidence, doesn't have knowledge of laws, the laws she knows about are ignored as per her convenience, partial, unethical, takes away children from one parent and gives to the one she is favoring in that case , lies endlessly right from the bench to villainize the disfavored litigant, write downright lies in her orders to justify her biased rulings.

Parrots 'best interest of the child' to the best of her advantage, not meaning a single word of this phrase , Becomes more hostile and revengeful if you stand up to her misconduct. I've had 3 other judges on my case but never even once experienced this kind of behavior before.

God bless the families that have their cases before her because no one - neither her colleagues, the lawyers that are aware of the unethical behavior nor the chief judge will do anything about it. They will let her ruin our lives!!

As a man suddenly engaged in a nasty divorce facilitated by wife's attorneys, I cannot believe the lack of integrity this Judge has. She has let my wife keep the children for 45 days with no contact, provided Joint Custody then added a stipulation where an MFT had to determine when full Joint Custody could take place (illegal).

She has ignored every single piece of evidence I have provided to the Court. My wife continues to fabricate allegations and despite the evidence I have contradicting each of her claims, Judge has ruled against me on every account. ihave researched into her campaign funding and found that my wife's attorney was a signficant contributor to her election campaign.

What is our recourse here? Is the District Attorney the one to approach?

It’s not crooked to insist Fathers get to see their children! We are not all animals and we are not all just sperm donors or deadbeat Dads!

And the kid shouldn’t be able to just dismiss their Father’s! You women think for once what it would be like to never be able to see your children again because the other parent brainwashed them so badly and see how you feel! Do you think men can’t feel that way? Why in the *** do you think we deserve it!

Some of you are extremely evil for what you’ve done to vilify us! Fathers have rights too! We shouldn’t have to just pay support and not see our children! If you’re going to brainwash our children so they don’t want to see their Father’s then don’t take our child support!

It’s dirty and you have been doing this to us for decades!!!!! YOU’RE NOT JUST THE VICTIMS HERE TOO! YOU VICTIMIZE!

It’s ridiculous this feminist lady card being thrown at every corner like your so sweet and gentle that butter doesn’t melt in your mouths and you’re all weak! It’s {{Redacted}}!

She violated federal law, state law and FAPE/Wrightslaw, the IDEA act, ADA regulations, had blatant (provable) ex-parte communications with an atty, she had an atty write the "Findings of Fact and Conclusion of Law" following a circus show joke of an evidentiary trial. She threw out no less than 20 pieces of supportive evidence from one party to he case, she inappropriately and impermissibaly ordered a "special master" upon her own deadline for decision as opposed to deciding the case, she altered a custodial decree (against the law), she altered a parenting plan (against thte law)..she violated multiple judicial cannons, she assisted in hiding a toddler and her only efgort was illogical and indefensible parental alienation without any justifiable cause...there is more..she created fraudulent court minutes..

Then...when I called her on her *** she recused herself and accused me of harassment. She's evil, corrupt and weong in every way and those who are suffering in the now are those that will create our future~our children. I have written a massive complaint to the Nevada Judicial Discipline Commitee and supplement it with 24 exhibits. I am mot alone.

She has done this to many people, generally mothers and always without any justifiable cause. I refuse to adopt a victim mentality and I refuse to lose my child. I have lost the past 20 mos. with my child.

She was 2.5 when this began and now she is 4.

I will get her back but will society still be forced to endure this insanity? We must impeach Rena Hughes.

A child’s nightmare; Judge Hughes alienated a daughter from her mother

Clark County, Nevada in the 2014 elections former Judge Kenneth Pollock battled to retain his seat in the Clark County District Court Family Division Department J and had an upset by Rena Hughes.

We have always echoed how important it is to know the candidates running for Judgeship because they will impact your life on a very personal level for the rest of your life. The events that took place on June 15, 2016 with a minor child is an example of family court going horribly wrong.

The matter was brought to the court; Father requested a change of custody because of mother’s decision to Home School the child.

The Father is the defendant and represented by Lesley Cohen and the mother was in proper person without counsel.

It’s not fun in Child Haven, they put you in a holding cell, and it’s like it would be jail!

There are many unanswered questions and statements:

• Why was the child punished? Drug Abusers and Domestic Violence parents have custody of their children.

• Did the parties consent to the ex parte interview with the child?

• Was there a mediator assigned, this is protocol for situations like this (to assist with conjoint parenting).

• Why was the child in the courtroom much less sitting at counsel table during the ruling?

• Why was mom ordered to leave the courtroom and dad and his attorney was present during the questioning of this child? Mom has a constitutional right to be present at every step of the proceedings. Rule 7.50 requires either a writing signed by the party or a stipulation placed on the record to waive the written order requirement. Case law says an oral order cannot be used, only a written order is enforceable. No agreement or stipulation between the parties or their attorneys will be effective unless the same shall, by consent, be entered in the minutes in the form of an order, or unless the same is in writing subscribed by the party against whom the same shall be alleged, or by the party’s attorney.

• Why Judge Hughes did not ask the child “why she does not want to live with dad”?

• Why did Judge Hughes isolate the mother from this decision in court appearing to take advantage of the mother, because she had no attorney representing her?

• When Judge Hughes was a candidate on 3/12/14 she stated in a radio interview PR Connections, that compassion is one of her strong suites. Where was Judge Hughes compassion with this minor child?

• Why did Judge Hughes place this child into that kind of a setting, threaten a child with Child Haven and tell the minor child it’s like sitting in a holding cell.

• Where is the child's attorney or advocate for her rights?!

• Why did the Judge not order counseling for both parties?

• Why was the Judge discussing adult issues in front of the child, to the child and without child have any support or representation?!

• Why was the mother who is in proper person not present while these adult decisions took place? The mother’s rights were grossly disregarded.

This Judge has psychologically damaged this child.

This judge appears to be nonchalant and insensitive to this child as she takes custody away from her mother (whom the child has been with her whole life). This is one of the most traumatizing situations a child can go through (removal from the most important person in their life unjustly and for no good reason).

More damage to this child was done on this day, instead of solving a problem, getting supports who can assist this family to co-parent the Judge rips this child away from her mother without just cause!

This judge threated this child like a criminal!

Judge Rena Hughes should be tossed off the bench!

I got her as my judge as well she took both my daughters from me. The have only ever lived with me their entire life.

My girls are 7 and 10. Their father is a felon with a violent record, current and active warrants as well as unemployed. I am being punished for always working and having a good job, always being there for everything for my girls no matter what and not having a criminal record. She gave my girls to their father and ordered me to not have any contact with them while they are with him.

I don't even get a phone call.

She also stopped all child support. She is a horrible judge and should be removed from the Bench.

OUTTAGEOUS. Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!!!

I am in the same EXACT Kind of situation...daughter 2...I ALWAYS had her...completely stripped of my rights w/o due process of trial. Child in danger. Being traumatized past 6 mos and 6 more to come...shell be 3.5 when/if this nightmare ends. (For as we all know...u cant get a new judge..and damage is being done daily)..

Judge has Been hiding my child from me...wont release name addy or phone # of sitter..sitter has domestic violence in bkgrnd, weapons charges, alcoholic, drug abuser...has my kid FT for NO REASON...father is mentally unstable at best..abandoned child for a month. Child has hearing loss. Botn with it. Sitters dont sign.

Child cant speak. (Delayed from hearing loss)..judge completely ignored/disregarded ALL of this info. And more...illnesses, dr.s reports...almost half of fathers time rescinded for past yr....nightmare. Our poor children!!

This is INSANE. THIS PERSON WAS ELECTED!! PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS WOMAN AND HOW MANY LIVES SHE IS RUINING ON A DAILY BASIS!! Countless!!!

This is sick. Corrupt/dirty/senseless system...complete hypocrisy in regard to their own alledged "mission statement"...(read it for a laugh bc its all u can do with this amount of pain)..the family court NEVER puts childs BEST INTEREST FIRST.

One of the worst you can imagine. Ignores evidence and sides with the party who can fight the dirtiest.

WE NEED TO VOTE HER OUT! She completely ignored the domestic violence issues, CPS issues, mental health issues. Awarded the party who was unemployed and living off family and the government and punished the party who was working and paying mortgage. Completely ignored the fact that the child has a disability and needs to be cared for.

She is one of the worst I have ever encountered.

I work with attorneys and am lost for words that she is able to practice. VOTE HER OUT!
