HORRIBLE SERVICE I REQUESTED ALL DOCUMENTS BE RETURNED AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED .VERY UNPROFESSIONAL .INTERESTED MORE IN MONEY RATHER THEN CLIENTS CIRCUMSTANCES AND RISKS OF SITUATIONS.THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR AND WHATEVER IS GONNA BENEFIT THEM.I PROVIDED VALUABLE EVIDENCE TO A CRIME AND ATTORNEY DID NOT REVIEW OR SUBMIT EVIDENCE TO JUDGE.THEY MADE THINGS SO MUCH HARDER ON TOP OF A WRONGFUL DEATH.I PAID 3100.00 FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING .I TRULY REGRET HIRING THIS FIRM THEY WILL NOT EVEN RETURN MY EMAILS.LANCE CLAERY SAID HE WAS GOING TO REPRESENT MY CASE AND DID NOT .NO RETAINER WAS FILLED OUT AFTER HIRE.

I can't even describe the level of incompetence this firm has. This is by far the works experience and almost a criminal one!

They have been around San Diego only for 6 years !! I should have checked with the BBB ! Numerous complains filed on various site! I believe they were ran out of LA due to their extremely unethical billing practice !

I have honestly never experience such criminal behaviors from any law firm ! They charged my card with out permission ( did not sign a billing agreement nor did I authorize it. They actually got my friend to authorize MY card. Which is a clear violation and FRAUD!!

They bill to have a "chat" among themselves ! The worst part is when it got down to business they actually failed to file the paperwork so we lost on that alone ! $7000 AND NO ACTUAL work was ever done ! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you value your case , your money and your time along with your sanity STAY AWAY !!

also the goon they send to "smooth" things over when you realize you have been had ELI don't believe his lies !! like I'm a moron I don't need flattery ! I need result ! I don't see this firm being around long term too many other more honest caring firms out there !

I hired Cleary & Green to file an order to reinforce a child support order from a different state. They said everything I needed to hear in order to take a $2,850 -- money I put on a credit card, as I live pay check to pay check as a teacher.

As soon as we got the actual order written I was told they needed to get a certified copy of my order and as soon as I got them the certified copy of my order they told me I need to disclose income etc.. No one told me that the process would take months (close to 4 months at this point). They claim I owe them hundreds more, while we never even filed the order and half of the things on the invoice I questions, as nothing has actually been done. I feel taken for a ride and lost approx.

3K! I was passed around from attorney to attorney, though I thought I hired one of the principles, and they would leave me random messages knowing nothing about my case.

They only called when I questioned the invoice. Horrible experience -- I should be given my money back.

Lance Claery subs out work to various attorneys who lack the experience necessary to represent clients in court and doesn't not listen to clients when they complain about the attorneys he assigns to the case. He is a smooth talker but will not take responsibility for anything the attorney does and will not provide you with the options you have as a client in the case.

Most of the attorneys are young and may be unable to effectively prosecute your case before the court. They may on occasion lie and give into the opposing counsel so watch out if they change their strategy or relay information about your case which is vastly different from what they discussed prior to signing the contract with them.

I was approached by Arran Treadway, from the firm of CLAERY & GREEN, who offered to represent me after I had posted a question on enforcing and attorney fee order. He appeared helpful and knowledgeable at our first conversation and meeting but I caution you do not be fooled.

I, as a pro per, had prepared a Request For Order to Enforce attorney fees and he filed this without adding anything other than his attorney fee rates. He did not understand, nor make any effort to completely understand the issues concerning this request as I later discovered when I was in court for the hearing without him there representing me because after representing me for less than a month, knowing I had no money and could not even afford the retainer he requested, he refused to continue representing me unless I paid him more money. I discovered later this firm has a reputation of doing this and I also discovered after meeting with other attorney's just how little knowledge Mr. Treadway and his firm had when it came to family law.

They also billed me for the time of two other attorneys including a senior partner whom I'd never met, never spoken with nor approved working nor had any knowledge were even working on my case which involved only this one motion which I myself prepared.

I was billing excessively and to the tune of more than $8,000 and was clearly taken advantage of by Claery & Green. I hope to alert others and spread the word so that they can be aware of this.

As someone who has worked in the legal field for 10 years, this firm is a disgrace. They are the type of firm that gives every other lawyer in the profession a bad reputation. Their practices are unethical and it’s sad that they feel the need to take advantage of the average layperson for money and greed. Unfortunately, the legal field offers little to no remedy for the consumer being taken advantage by this type of place so there is virtually nothing you can do about it.

Please stay away from this firm. I highly regret not reading Yelp before selecting a law firm to handle my divorce. My only solace is that I found a much better law office as soon as I could; otherwise, I would still be spending approximately $2,000 a month for an associate doing nothing except picking his butt and finding ways to inflate the billable hours. (It took them three months and I don’t know how many billable hours to even serve my disclosures.) The amount of money you end up paying for the extremely poor quality legal work is astounding. I was billed for “legal research” on areas that I was adamant about not wanting to pursue and their main tactic is to double bill you – i.e. during a phone call, my attorney agreed to take care of an issue for me. I assumed it was taken care of until a week later when I received an email and phone call from my attorney following up to ask if I authorize him to take care of said issue. In short, this firm gave me more anxiety than the divorce process itself. I hired a new, MUCH more COMPETENT and intelligent attorney who is proactive and passionate about being an advocate for you. It’s pathetic that respondent’s counsel was going around my attorney to reach out to me and then just as happy as I was when he learned that I fired this office. But the mistake of using this firm will haunt me for awhile until the debt is paid off. Don’t be fooled by their retainer strategy; unless there is a vast amount of wealth in your estate that the partner sees he can profit off of, you will be passed down to an unknowledgeable associate who’s main goal is to try to milk what little money you have.

I have only been with this company for about three weeks now and i already feel like i have been scammed, three different lawyers have handled my case just within these short span, its like i get a change of lawyer every week, with emails stating the lawyers have left the company, i have never seen such in my entire life, and not only that i have gotten bogus bills for nothing, my file has not been turned it yet. I thought my case was the easiest case ever, but thanks to Lance it feels so complicated now, pls flee from this company, what a scam!!!!

This law firm is a joke. They have switched my lawyer that was assigned to my case 5 different times. I have been through H** with this law firm. They were suppose to file certain motions that they did not file. They were charging me for things that I did not ask for. To top it off when my lawyer was switched every 2 months I was never notified. I was always told the day of this happening. It would always happen on a Friday and then Monday is when I was told that there was a new attorney on the case and it would take a week or more for them to review my file. I also was requesting many things for them to do on my case and they wouldn't do it which was by LAW correct.

I had to tell them how to do their jobs. I did all my own legal research and asked several times about how this law can help my case and they did nothing on their part to research the laws and to file motions or anything on my behalf. BUT THEY SURE WERE CHARGING FOR THINGS THAT THEY WERE NOT DOING. I just feel that this law firm is a rip off.

I only talked to a attorney there which was Ely Hammond who set me up with this law firm. I then had spoke with other practicing attorney's there and they did nothing to help my case. I also requested to speak to Lance and never was given his email address after many attempts. This law firm also decided to drop my case when they were already involved for 10 months plus. It was just ridiculous.

The girls that were in the office would harrass me everytime I would call in to speak with my attorney if a payment was not made so they would stop me from speaking with my attorney. They are rude and quit frankly "B**CHES" that think they are doing me a favor by answering the phone. Tell me what type of law firm doesn't have multiple lines to place people on hold. I was told one time when I called in and I refused to wait for a call back from my attorney since they were lagging on things with my case that I am sorry but keeping you on hold will tie up my phone line. There hold only puts you on hold for 10 minutes then automatically hangs up on you. REALLY?? I have never dealt with such a unprofessional law firm in my life.

After speaking with Lance ONE time initially, I was pawned off to someone beneath him 3 different times without warning, due to these junior lawyers quitting/getting fired. I was litigating for $6k in child support I had to pay until a boy turned 18.

Lance assured me it would be a $3k case closed max uncontested. After I was in too deep it had eventually grow to $9k to squash $6k, not to mention my time. This expert was off by 300%! What a waste, after a so called win on the child support, the support would have been easier to pay the $341 a month to the end.

Now I pay the lawyer in $500 installments, still get dinged for a $30 late fee and interest each time! I could understand being off the mark even as an experienced lawyer by $1k for a $3k case but triple what I was told?

I did not plan on spending more than 3k to NET 3k. I really was deceived by this law firm and lost $6k+ even though it was win from an non contesting party that didn't even use a lawyer!
