Verified Reviewer |Damaged my home. Cost me thousands of dollars!
Citywide hired incompetent subcontractors to renovate my bathroom. Their so-called plumber used plywood nails to attach the pipes they damaged.yes, I said nails used to attach pipes.
The plumber didnt cap the pipes to the shower and the water leaked all night until my kitchen ceiling came down the next morning.
They installed 12x24 porcelain tiles directly onto the studs, they cut the lip on the bathtub and tried to install it without bolting it down, they did not install drywall and covered up mould and said there was none. Never used water proof materials around the tub or floor.
Citywide caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages to my property and refused to compensate.
Preferred solution: Compensating for all the money I spent repairing the damage Citywide caused to my home.
User's recommendation: Never use this company

Verified ReviewerDamage to my home
Citywide Home Improvements is a company that has expanded their services to include interior renovations. The are completely unaware of basic construction standards and have hired incompetent sub-contractors to do their work.
They attempted to renovate my bathroom which should have taken no more than 7 days. After 4 weeks, I asked them to leave after the fourth massive water leak in my house. The last incident happened because their so called plumber went home without capping the pipes and the water leaked into my kitchen all night.
During the time they worked at my home, I was subjected to listening to yelling and swearing, having items stolen from my home, and being insulted and lied to. One of their contractors walked in on my using the toilet despite the doors to my bedroom and ensuite were closed.
I still dont know why he thought he needed to go into my bedroom.
They damaged my plumbing and tried to repair it by nailing the pipes together with plywood nails. They cut off the lips on the bathtub to make it fit and did not bolt it down at all. You could lift the tub up with one hand.
They glued the tiles directly onto the studs and did not install drywall. The tiles were stacked on top of each other.
They told me there was no mould but covered up black mould with the tiles.
Citywide cut the studs and ruined the framing trying to install a niche. The cut the floor joists for some reason.
They damaged all the plumbing trying to install the vanity, toilet and bathtub. The floor was at a 45 degree slant, they used grout to repair holes they made in my walls. There is so much more.
When the new plumber was replacing all the damaged pipes, he removed the P-trap, there was urine present that had been there (in his professional opinion) for about a month or two.
This coincides with the same timeframe as the subcontractor used by Citywide who did the tiling was present in my home.
The man never used my powder room once despite working from 8 AM to 4-6PM every day without leaving my house.
The actual construction was so poorly done that it caused extensive damage to my home. I was left with a bill of almost $26,000 in repairs and extra costs to the original amount to remodel my bathroom.
Citywide has refused to accept responsibility and pay for the damages to my home.
User's recommendation: Stay away from them
